Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

1 Answer

My clip won't charge, connect to computer, or play

I've had my clip for 2 years. A few months ago my headphones started giving out when I'd use it, or so I thought. I now think it was my clip, because even brand new pairs didn't work, and my clip will no longer charge(outlet or computer)and my computer does not recognize it as connected. What can I do?

I turn it on and the logo scrolls across the screen(as it should). Then the Low Battery warning pops up and the clip turns off. When I connect it to the computer the clip turns on and says it's writing, my computer does not recognize it though. The battery icon on the clip shows full charge, but as soon as I disconnect it from my computer it says low battery and turns off.

Your Clip must still have some charge, otherwise you wouldn't be able to test it. How do you know it won't charge now?

Try connecting it to different USB ports, especially the ones on the back of your computer, and see if it behaves differently.

Otherwise, it may be that your battery has reached end-of-life, though two years is pretty short. The battery in your Clip should last 800 to 1200 recharge cycles.

It's also possible that the battery leads detached from the battery, due to being bumped etc. Symptoms of this are that the Clip will eventually run completely out of charge and you won't be able to turn it on, but it will turn on when connected to an external power source, such as your computer or an AC adapter.

seems silly, but did you remember to plug it in? If you used a power strip, did you remember to make sure the strip is turned on?

Make sure the connection is plugged into the machine.

Good luck

My Logitech x540s suddenly VERY loud! HELP

Open up your computer the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer
to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
or you might have to clean the dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
if this fails to fix the problem you might have to uninstall your soundcard restart your computer then reinstall it

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to sounds and video controllers expand right click select uninstall
then restart your computer and reinstall your soundcard
hope this helps

I bought this Acer aspire 7535g laptop off of my mum's friend which was in great condition when I bought it. The sound was perfect. Every driver was up-to-date. However now... 8 months on, the sound...

You can try booting a live linux CD or thumbdrive and see if that gives you sound. That will give you an idea if it's Windows or a hardware problem. If it's a windows problem try uninstalling and reinstalling your drivers. If that doesn't work keep searching around or just try a fresh install of windows.

Plantronics Bluetooth Headset P590

This is a "known issue" that I have raised to Plantronics. Whether they do anything about it, remains to be seen. The workaround I have discovered seems to work with both of my P590 headphones that stopped charging:

1. Plug in the USB charging cable to a laptop or computer that is powered on.
2. Connect the USB charging cable to the headphones
3. Connect the 3.5mm headphone cord cable to the headphone output on the laptop of computer (this is the long cable with the normal 3.5mm stereo plug at each end)
4. Plug the other end of the 3.5mm cable into the P590 input.

The headphones should start charging.
