Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player
I've had my clip for 2 years. A few months ago my headphones started giving out when I'd use it, or so I thought. I now think it was my clip, because even brand new pairs didn't work, and my clip will no longer charge(outlet or computer)and my computer does not recognize it as connected. What can I do?
Try connecting it to different USB ports, especially the ones on the back of your computer, and see if it behaves differently.
Otherwise, it may be that your battery has reached end-of-life, though two years is pretty short. The battery in your Clip should last 800 to 1200 recharge cycles.
It's also possible that the battery leads detached from the battery, due to being bumped etc. Symptoms of this are that the Clip will eventually run completely out of charge and you won't be able to turn it on, but it will turn on when connected to an external power source, such as your computer or an AC adapter.
