While the phone has GPS features and a location finder, if you want to use it as you would a Garmin or Tom Tom GPS system you must download the app. Look in your users guide and you should find out how to load apps. There are commercial vendors that you can find from a Google search. The step-by-step process depends on the software.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

On my phone can I receive his location when I receive a text message from him

No, you won't receive his location when he (or anyone) texts you. In order to share a location, you can use a GPS app like Waze, where someone can send to you their exact location, and the app will tell you how to get to them. You both must use it.

However, some phones will allow you to send a GPS location via Maps with a text message. But the user needs to send it to you first. You won't receive it just beacuse they messaged you.

Reception currently not sufficient navigon iphone problem

This indicates that the Navigon app is unable to get a GPS fix to determine your exact location. This can happen in areas with lot's of buildings or thick tree line. You may have to use a module with an external antenna option if it continues on a regular basis. Also make sure under settings - Location Services - Navigon that the option is turned on. If it is off it will not be able to use your GPS radio in the phone.

No signal

Turn the unit off

Pry off the silver faceplate and locate the reset button underneath

Hold the reset button down for 30 seconds then turn on the GPS while holding the button down.

Once the GPS screen activates you can release the reset button.

If this doesn't solve the problem your next step would be to download the latest software update from this link: www.garmin.com

G1 gps not working

have you actually enabled the G1's GPS receiver within the phone ?
the GPS is not switched on out of the box aswell as Wifi and Bluetooth.
Try going into the settings and enabling the GPS Satellite receiver and then use the maps application to see if the Satellites can Triangulate your position and find where your at !

hope this helps :D

I purchased a tom tom one xl and find some new freeways are not on there or map is not up to date. How can I get updates, with out spending $60 for their updates? I have had it only 6 weeks, enough to...

The only way to get map updates without buying a new map,
is through the MapShare system.

If you havent, make an account for free at Tomtom.com:
http://www.tomtom.com/myTomTom/myProfile/index.php

If you havent, install TomTom Home:
http://www.tomtom.com/plus/service.php?ID=17

Connect and update device on a regular basis.
Hope this helps for you.
