Question about Frigidaire FRS26R4A Side by Side Refrigerator
You could try Unplugging the Unit for Few minutes, say 30-60 minutes. If you would see the same Error EF, this means that your evaporator fan motor isn't drawing the correct amount of power. You will need to replace your evaporator fan motor which is located inside the freezer behind the back wall.If the Problem persists, more often it is Faulty Power Board. But, Fan Motor is the usual Cause i have seen on most Refrigerators.
Let me know, if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

This is the famous EF error for Frigidaire. This means that the control board may be going bad. If you unplug the refrigerator for 30 minutes, hopefully it will reset itself. If it doesn't, then it may need a little more time (try a few hours) or the board may need to get replaced. If it resets, then the codes shouldn't appear again. Sometimes the refrigerator just needs to be defrosted when this happens so if after the first 30 minutes, it doesn't reset, then try getting the whole thing defrosted and see if the error code goes away. If it doesn't, then you can order a new board from repairclinic.com which hopefully you won't have to do.
Let me know how this works out for you.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello Michael, I appreciate your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire refrigerator is dropping the temperature within the fresh food side. The damper is located within the back of the fresh food side and this part will open and close so that the cold air from the freezer will come into the fresh food side. It is possible that this damper can be stuck open or staying open for too long. Do you notice any frost developing within the freezer? If so, please perform a manual defrost on the refrigerator and you can do that by disconnecting power from it for at least one hour. If there is no frost within the freezer then check to make sure no packages are holding the damper open. You may need to replace the damper or the damper motor and I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform proper replacement repairs. Best of luck! -Matt

Hey friend, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator is not cooling within the fresh food side but cooling in the freezer. I would check to assure that the vent assembly is not blocked by any food, if so remove the food and allow your refrigerator to cool down.
If there is no food blocking the vent place your hand in the fresh food side to see if any air is moving out of the damper. If you do not feel air coming out it could be an issue with your evaporator fan. Additionally we should check to make sure the gaskets are not bad. You can do that by using a dollar bill. Place the bill between the body of the fresh food and close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing it. If nothing is stopping the door from closing then replace the gasket. I hope this information has been helpful. - Matt
