My Amana ARGS7650

Turn the power off to the range.

If you have the duel fuel model, remove the burner knobs and remove the screw behind each knob.

Open the oven door and reove the four screws that hold the bottom of the control panel to the range.

The panel should pull out and down at the bottom.

You will probably find the ears that hold the board have broken. Some of these models only used two screws to hold the board to the panel, which left two ears that you can put the screws in to fasten it back in place. If all four ears are broken, I have used flat washers under the screws to fasten it back if there is enough of the ear left for the washer to catch.

Change a three wire to a four wire.

To change from a three to a four wire cord you will need to remove the ground wire/strap that is currently connected to the center connection at the back of the dryer. This ground wire is going to look like a flat piece of either copper or aluminum that connects to the center peg and is screwed to the dyer cabinet right next to the cord terminal block SAVE THE SCREW. Doing this separates the electrical neutral and the cabinet ground.

Now when connecting the four wire cord, put the red and black wires on the outer connection posts (does not matter which goes on which side) and the white neutral wire connects to the center connector. The green or sometimes green with yellow stripe wire from the cord will connect to the cabinet where the ground strap you removed used to connect use the same screw that you removed earlier.

Good luck!

F 21 error code on whirlpool front loading washer. What is it?

Check your filter screen under the bottom panel. Things like socks get stuck in there. Unscrew bottom cover remove screw top cover located right in the center of the bottom. Might want to grab a towel! Screw it back on. Restart. Good luck.

Put on the self cleaning...and some wires in the back sparked and it shut down the circuit breakers? ITs a electric tappan

Hello

Is the stove directly wired? The code says the wire coming from the breaker box should be connected to a four prong 50amp range receptacle. Then a 50amp four prong range cord from the receptacle to the range. There's a clip on the back of the stove that connects the neutral wire to the frame of the stove. It has to be removed and the green wire coming from the cord connected to a green screw on the stove to separate the neutral form the ground. Get a licensed electrician.

On the dryer. You correct. If you have a three wire cord, the one in the center of the cord goes in the center of the electrical block. It does not matter about the two on the outside. Just put one on one side and the other on the other. The washer will also have three wires. One black, one white and one green. First, the green goes to the case or ground. The black goes on the gold screw and the white goes on the silver screw. The black and white can go on either but most people connect them as I stated. Sorry about your divorce and good luck on wiring your machines. Have a great day.

I have the error code F-01 on the display

I go to our electric breaker box (in the basement), locate the breaker that provides electric to my washer, flip it off and then back on. This should reset the washer. I received the F01 code twice in four years, and each time this has worked for me. Unplugging the washer may reset it but I haven't tried that because I would have to move my washer. Good luck!

Change cord on electrolux EL5020

In order to get to the cord that is disconnected you need to remove the screws that hold on the frame(the red shell). You will need to remove the "fenders" that are near the wheels. In order to remove the fenders get a flat tip screwdriver and pry up on the front part of the fender, there are three clips holding the left one on and two holding the fender near the cord. You will need to remove the left wheel (the wheel farthest from the cord). After you remove all the exterior screws and the four screws under the brissels the shell should be able to be removed. Next you will need to pull the cord all the way out and there will be a clear clip, use a flat tip screwdriver and release the clip in order to remove the clear piece that holds the power cord electrical ends. Reattach the clips of the power cord and be sure when you put the clear piece back in that the two contacts are not bending. You will need to use a screwdriver to guide the electrical clips back into place. I didn't count the screws there is a lot of them. I hope this helps you
