Ink cartridges, recieving fax

I've not used my Brother Fax 560 Plain Paper for a couple of years. I am able to send out a fax successfully, but cannot recieve on. It is condirmed the fax was successful, but doesnt come through. Also, when I connect the machine to the outlet, the tape on the cartridge seems to get caught on the roller right above it. When it prints a copy of the help list, the black tape is stuck to it. I have misplace my instruction manual, so please help as I really need to use my fax machine ASAP.

Thanks,
Bea

Thanks for the feedback. After cleaning the roller above the cartridge, I continued with the problem. I purchased a complete cartridge and that did the trick. Thanks so much. I guess the ink ribbon was old and was sticking the what ever it came in contact with. Thanks, rcbh

It sound like your machine is receiving but as soon as it tries to prints the fax it has this problem.

Rewind the ink ribbon so it is nice and tight in the housing. Clean the black roller above it with some cleaning alcohol or equivalent (nothing too harsh).

See how that goes if you are still having problems replace the whole cartridge (not the refills) PC-401.

Try removing the print cartridge, cleaning the roller with alcohol, replace the print cartridge and press firmly to ensure it's installed correctly and replace cover. This should solved your problem.

Brother Fax 560 will not stop running the cartridge. The cartridge can be replaced, the door closed and it will not stop running until the cartridge is empty. How can I fix this problem?

Unfortunately there is no fix for this problem as the system board is corrupted. Try powering the machine of from the wall socket and then powering back on. If this doesn't work the machine will be more cost effective to replace.

One question though is it an original cartridge that is installed if not install a new original ink cartridge.

Fax in memory

Either load paper or ink cartridge. If it is paper I think you will need to either press the start button or the stop button then it should start printing automatically.

If it is the ink cartridge after you have installed a new one then it should start printing.

Hope this is of some help to you
Thanks J
