Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Possibilities are endless for this type of problem. With more information I could give you a more specific answer.
1. Firewall issue. Software or Hardware firewall. Make sure the sites in question are not listed in an "untrusted" zone via your IE Settings (Internet Explorer). Also check to see if your router has those sites filtered. If you are behind a firewall that you have no control over like in a College or work setting, they may have been blocked on purpose. If you are using an internet suit like Nortons or McAfee, disable or uninstall them...they are more trouble than their worth.
2. "Hosts" File issue. A lot of browser hijacks (virus) alter this file. resetting it to default could resolve your issue.
3. DNS issue. Almost the same as #2 above, but it is on a hardware level rather than software. A router/computer can have a messed up DNS server listed...but unlikely if other sites work.
4. Spyware/virus. This is where 90% of problems for computers come from. I recently ran into this free program that has worked better than any other program I have ever used to rid a computer of infections automatically. It picks up stuff that some very popular programs miss.
Like I said above, the possibilities are endless. But the suggestions above are the most common. Good luck and I hope this helps.
