Question about Apple MacBook 13"White /2.0Ghz Intel Core2 Duo White/2GB (2x1gb)/80GB/SuperDrive (Z0DT) Mac Notebook

1 Answer

My macbook crashed and all the files have disappeared and gone back to the factory settings. is there a way to retrieve the files? the monitor went to a purple screen and it wouldn't do anything. we looked in the manual and tried to run the first disk it asked for - there wasn't enough room to run the disk. so we followed the next step and put in the other disk and got a computer with factory settings. any ideas? what happened?

Hello sir, hi, there are several ways to retrieve files from a fallen macbook, the cheapest way is to get a usb to ide/sata external enclosure drive kit, inquire it on your local computer shop. Its a device where you install your macbook hard drive, and via the usb plug in a mac or the same operating system as in your macbook be it windows or mac, or get professional help, ask your local computer shop to have the hard drive remove and place the copy or be transfered to a CD.

How to get my 5000friends list back after factory reset?

If the data was stored on your hard drive there is no way you can retrieve it yourself just as anything else stored there that was loaded by you is lost when you take your PC back to factory default settings. (A forensic computer specialist might be able to find it on the hard drive if it has not been overwritten by now (likely it has) but that will cost you very big bucks and you may get zero result).

Anything you file on your PC of value you must back up. Just copying to a USB drive is usually good enough and these are very cheap. Printing a hard copy of data and filing it away safely is also better than losing something important. PCs can die or crash or fail to load the operating system or just cease to work properly at any time and keeping any important information to you filed away on the PC without back up is always a bad idea.

Do not use your phone after losing data. Any new data written into your phone might overwrite your lost Whatsapp messages.
With the real time messaging, media sharing, and group chatting, WhatsApp is currently one of the most popular messenger apps in the world.More than 400 million users have WhatsApp installed on their phones to catch up with families and friends.
However, some of Android users recently encountered a weird problem that WhatsApp messages went disappeared without deleting. Or you probably meet the frustration of accidentally deleting important WhatsApp chats on your phone. Don't worry. There are chances to get them back.

Android Phone Recovery helps Android WhatsApp recovery, recover deleted WhatsApp messages Android, or retrieve deleted WhatsApp messages Samsung.

Did the drive crash? Is the computer not recognizing the drive? If so your files are gone unless you want to spend over a grand trying to get them retrieved.

If the computer recognizes the drive but you don't see your files, then a virus has just hidden the files. They are there and retrievable, just hidden.

It sounds like you have an issue with the monitor's power. Make sure all connections with the power cord and audio cables are secure. If this does not resolve the issue and the monitor is under warranty you may want to RMA it.

Can document files be recovered after factory reset

Not at this point. Any hope of recovering files after an accidental reformat needs to happen immediately. After the computer has been used again for any length of time, most of the hard disk has been overwritten and there is little to no hope of getting back any older files from before the format. Sorry!!
