Question about Sony KP-46WT520 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Your unit has a problem on the "G" board. The specific problem doesn't matter you would not be able to repair it unless you are an electronic tech. If you are good with your hands and can work a screwdriver you can probably change out the board which would be your best bet. Unplug the unit first from the mains. Remove the back. Looking at the boards locate the "G" board. Sony labels all its boards with big letters starting with "A". Once you find the board remove any wires from their connectors marking each end (male and female) with a number using a majic marker. Remove the board. You can get a replacement at www.partstore.com or www.shopjimmy.com . I do not know the cost but I would guess less than $200. Install the new board. Reassemble the unit making sure everything is correct. Plug in and try. Your unit should be good to go. Let me know how you make out or if you need more information or run into any issues I can help with.
