Clean the air filter. Clean the spark arrester (muffler - if it cannot exhale it cannot inhale). You can prime until your thumb bleeds - that is NOT the problem. To much choke almost always is. It is severely flooded Open and follow this BE CAREFUL - Extreme fire hazard.

Extreme Flooding by Dolfoff
Please follow this link, http://www.fixya.com/support/t3226410-no_spark_new_plug_but_continues_flood cursor down to “Best Solution”, while there click the “Was this helpful? [Yes]” button

I am going to make the following assumptions:
1. It is a Poulan PP4218(WeDoNotCare), start procedure the same.
2. You removed and verified there is spark (plug replacement recommended). The plug is dry (not flooded).
3. With the saw at waist height; the starter handle held; and the saw released. It remains against the starter handle or VERY slowly lowers with a distinctive pause during each compression stroke.

Type just the model numbers (choose the suffix after the list is provided).

It needs spark, fuel, and compression to run.
An overly rich mixture should not keep it from starting.
To much or to little fuel will (most start problems)!

The start procedures are on pages 9 and 10.
STARTING A COLD ENGINE
If the engine is cold - Please read the second NOTE: before trying to start.
If warm – read the DIFFICULT STARTING (or starting a flooded engine). I would try it with choke closed first (Pull to full choke; push to off choke). Hard starting is almost always flooded on a 2-cycle engine. You can prime all you like; priming does not inject the fuel mix into the carburetor. It circulates mix from the fuel tank through the carburetor and returns any excess to the tank

Gas coming out exhaust

The machine is completley flooded, remove the spark plug, switch the ignition off, crank the engine until no more fuel is expelled from the plug hole, allow the machine to sit for an hour, replace the plug and try to start using full throttle and no choke.

My Echo SHC-212 floods out and will not start. Even with no choke and throtle wide open it will still flood cylinder. I have good spark.

Check your choke prime bulb and carburetor lines - sounds like its clogged and gas is barely leaking into flood the cylinder

I have a 1985 oldsmobile toronado and i was driving it all day yesterday and now diz moroning im trying to start it and it wont start for nothing i pump the gas, spray carburetor cleaner on it and it

If it won't start, then pumping the gas and using carb cleaner may make it worse. Carb cleaner is not the same as starting fluid. It will make the engine harder to start. If it's flooded, then pumping the gas will only flood it more. If you need to de-flood, then press the accelerator pedal ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR and HOLD it there while cranking. Don't pump it.
Have you looked at the top of the carburetor while someone cranks the engine? Does the choke close when you press the accelerator for the first (and only) time? You state that you replaced the choke; do you mean the electric choke spring? Is it adjusted correctly? You need to know the choke setting for it to work properly.
Then again, it may have nothing to do with the choke. Do you have spark at the plugs? Have you checked the fuel filter?

2nd use of chainsaw pp3516avx, it won't start, choke lever will not stay extended. I followed the instructions to start and nothing works

The choke system is connected to the half throttle position, if you lift the throttle trigger the choke pull will automatically return, whilst trying to start do not lift the throttle trigger, the starting procedure is, pump the primer bulb as many times as it takes to 3/4 fill the bulb, pull the choke pull fully out, this will switch the saw on and engage the half throttle, crank the engine until it fires once, do not continue to pull,it will actually not run on full choke, if you do continue to crank with the choke fully out, you will very quickly flood the engine, now push the choke fully in, now crank the engine until it fires up, lift the throttle trigger once, this will dissengage the half throttle, and it should now come down to idle.

Need to know what carb screw adjustment need to be set at weedeater starts for about 4-7 sec then shuts down put new hoses on checked gas filter and cap checked out ok. i pump the ball about 10 times...

If there is a choke adjustment you should set that at full until the trimmer warms up, don't touch the gas. Then repull start at half choke, don't touch the gas either at this time. Then start at no choke, and then set your idle on the carberator with the adjustment screw. Also don't push the primer bulb so many time you will cause the spark plug to get flooded and drown out the spark, which is exactly what is happening.

I cant get my lawn mower to start i dont know

Sounds like you are flooding it. here try this. go to your mower, prime it by pushing the bulb 3 to 5 times, set the choke, pull it once, maybe twice. If it don't start leave it alone 15 minutes (ON THE CLOCK) then come back take the choke of (set it to "run") and try pulling one more time. See if it starts when you pour gas in, its working, OHHHH Hooo! It just hit me! Is the gas in the tank 100% fresh? I don't mean mixed with a little old gas and hope. MUST BE 100% Fresh. See the contradiction here is wet plug no start, (You are obviously getting the gas) But you pour in the gas and it starts? I bet if you poured in the gas its more than 1 pull would give it from the tank! You see what I'm getting at? That tells me you may have bad gas vs. fresh gas!

When I try to start my weedeater gas comes out of the muffler

It is flooded something fierce. The gas will come out of the muffler when it starts flooding the cylinder. Once you get it starter (no choke when flooded, throttle open) it will smoke like the dickens and then should be fine.

Hard starting model 345e

The newer 345 Husqvarnsa are very easy to start, providing you dont flood it/ remember the bulb that you push prior to choking and pulling the recoil is an air purge bulb, NOT a PRIMER.Just make sure ther is gas in the bulb and stop pushing it. Also make sure your gasoline mixture is the correct ratio of fifty to one, use only a good synthetic oil like HUsq, echo, redmax. Avoid the high ash oils like store brands and stihl. MOST importantly check the fuel lines for cracks where the line comes out of the tank and bends arround and up into the airbox. They usually last a year or so because of the ethanol in the gas. Good luck

Stihl ms-250 won,t start , and gas leaking from under the exhaust manifold , also plug seems not to be spaking even when dry . every time i try to start engine it floods . ?? the saw is only 3 mths old ....

You may need a carb rebuild kit. they are thin rubber diaphrams and will harden up and warp if not used regularly or if the fuel is improperly mixed.
These are easy to flood if you pull them too many times on choke. Pull it on HALF choke until it pops. then turn the choke off, into the run (I) position and pull it until it starts.
If it's flooded, remove teh plug under the cover, blow off the sparking end and pull the engine a few times without the plug. this will empy the cylinder. WATCH YOUR EYES!
