Hi,

Kindly mention the Make and Model of the Treadmill?

Also, explain the Problem in Detail. Is the Treadmill working before you lubed the Belt?

Is the Speed Slow or It was Dead earlier as well? Is the Power entering the Machine? Is there any Output? Have you Tested the Motor?

Let me know, so that we could proceed.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Usually the Best way of Soft Reset is to Keep the Machine Unplugged for Few Minutes, say 30-60 minutes and then Turn it ON. It would usually Reset it.

Regarding Hard Reset, each machine have it's own Hard Reset procedure. You could refer to the Manual which do have this information :-

    http://www.horizonfitness.com/uploadedFi...

You need to have Acrobat Reader to View this.

Generic Procedure to Reset Treadmill :-

Step 1 Unplug the treadmill. Locate the console key and place the safety or reset key into the treadmill console. Replace any parts that need replacing, or move on to the next step.
Step 2 Locate the reset switch on the underside of the treadmill console. Usually the button is large enough to trigger with a pencil eraser or Q-tip. Plug the treadmill plug back into the wall. Use the Q-tip to press the reset button. It may be necessary to hold the reset button down for a few seconds. "CL11" will appear in the display of the treadmill.

Step 3 Press the reset button one more time with the Q-tip. "CL21" should appear on the screen. Press the enter key. The display will change again and show "CL22." Keep pressing the enter key until the numbers cycle through to the number "CL26." Press enter one more time. The letter E should appear on the display screen.

Step 4 Press enter twice more. The letters "SS" should appear on the screen. When this happens, press the start/stop key. Making sure to keep well away from the tread, press enter to start the treadmill. The treadmill will start on its own. The treadmill will stop on its own after a few seconds. When it stops, press the power key two times. Remove the safety key and put in a safe place. Your treadmill is reset.

You need to Call a tech to Repair this as this seems to be a more big problem than we initially thought. You could tried yo keep it Unplug Once again for few minutes, Calibrate it once again and see, if that could help the issue.

What is meant when it shows "lube belt"?

You need to apply lube between the walking belt and the black deck surface. Most manufacturers use silicone lube. We sell a lube kit for our treadmills that includes an applicator and a bottle of liquid silicone.for around $20.

Belt is slipping and squeaking when walked upon what type of lubricant should be used

Sounds like the motor belt is slipping. Make sure the belt from the motor to front roller pulley is tight.Once you have that adjusted lube and adjust the walk belt. The squeaking is usually from the motor belt. Many treadmills(Proform, Nordictrack for example) use Silicone lube (lube n walk, or silicone With teflon from Lowes works good) Call the manufacturer to make sure it uses a silicone lube.

Lube Belt displays on digital display how to reset or where to lube the belt.

The message "LUBE" or "LUBE BELT" scrolls across the console display window. The treadmill will not operate while the message is displayed.
Reset the console by pressing the STOP and SPEED “+” or “^” for five seconds.

HOW DO I LUBE MY HORIZON T81 TREADMILL

Your lube goes between the walking belt and the deck( the board under the belt). Apply lube as close to the center of the belt as possible then walk at a slow speed to spread lube evenly.
