Question about Blaupunkt IDC-A09 5-Disc CD Changer

1 Answer

Hi! I have one of these Multichange CD players but it won`t do anything, When I diconnect it from the radio and then reconnect it, it does a little shuffle with the mech, then nothing. It won`t accept discs or play a disc, even if I load it by hand. Personally, I think the deck needs re-syncing, But there`s only two timing marks which mate up with a plate that moves across the deck and two timing gears that have mating faces which are set correctly. I am a service engineer, but this one has got me stumped. Has anyone got any Ideas? Thankyou

I want to thank the guy who posted a solution on The suggestion that he makes is VERY plausable and I would like to thank him for taking the time to leave a message. I will be ordering one of these kits ASAP, once I can get my online account working. "Bloody Computers". Sincerely Ian

I fitted the kit which was VERY easy, I still had a problem with the timing of the lower mech where the Cam gear had slipped so that the groove that slides up and down the cam was too narrow because there is a slide for the two halves of the cam gear to fit into. I fitted the kit because these parts had actually split on mine apart from the turntable. I didn`t replace this because that meant that I would have had to strip the laser mech down and I know that these turntables can be quite fiddley to set to the correct height without a service disk and oscilloscope.

    Thankyou all at FixYa. Ian

My car radio,cd,tape player and clock does not work

hi margie, your fault lies with the power line feeding both your clock and car radio units. check the fuse of the line feeding your radio/clock section. the fuse box should have the areas clearly marked. also check if the ground connection to radio/clock is not diconnected sumhow. if this advice does not help then it wub advisable for you to consult with nearest auto-elecrician. cheers.

I just put my old Kenwood KDC-X679 deck in a friends car and the radio works but the cd player and aux won't play audio

take the blue/white wire coming from the radio and tie that in with your solid blue wire coming from the radio and which is connected to whichever wire in the car. So in total you'll have 3 wires at a connector.

Hi just bought a 1960's Telefunken Sonata Console

Multi disc record decks can be temperamental and need maintenance with an experienced and gentle touch - most people just disabled the multichange but the older ones are now collectible and have a following of dedicated enthusiasts.

It was very rare for the appliance manufacturer to produce their own record decks and would buy in something suitable from a specialist company and in that case, once you know the deck manufacturer you should be able to find a dedicated forum where some of those enthusiasts post.

The other alternative is to look around locally to try and find a good radio and tv man who has a long white beard...

What is the blue and white wire with the fuse for? Also i have a solid yellow wire what is that for?

the blue/white wire is to turn an amplifier on. If you have no amp, don't worry about it, Just make sure you cap it off so it won't touch anything as it is hot when the deck is on. The yellow wire is constant power and has to have power going to it even with the key off as it controls the memory of the radio (clock and radio presets).

Can not get cd disc back out of my nissan tino radio, just clicks.

you probably have a bad cd mechanism. the only way to remove the cd is to take the deck apart and remove the cd manually, to repair the radio, the cd mechanism will need to be replaced.

Cd is stuck in the deck cd player

You could try and tease it out using another CD.

Failing that, the player will have to be extracted from the car dashboard and the cover taken off for the CD to be removed from the mechanism

Make sure you have the code for the radio before you start.

Cd deck

on each side of the radio, there are two holes.
a special two pronged (ford radio removal) tool slides into the two holes on each side of the radio.once inserted, the holding mechanism is released, and the radio slides out.
If you cannot puchase the keys locally, allen wrenches of the proper diameter will work.
