You have 3 units: PC >cable modem > router.
First turn your PC off . Take the power connectors off the cable modem and the router.
Then, Plug an ethernet cable into the internet cat5 port on the cable modem.
Take the other end of the cable an plug it into the Internet/Wan port on the router (I believe it is green on your router.
Then take another ethernet cable, plug it into any one of the 4 ports on the router.
Take the other end and plug it into your PC.
Plug in the power to the cable modem first. Wait 30 seconds. Then plug in the power to the router.
Again, wait 30 seconds. Then start up your PC.
After the PC boots to your desktop, you should be able to get online.
This procedure will work with cable Internet providers, If you have DSL, your username and password needs to be put into the router's setup.
