No netflix my blueray is connected to the router but the router isnt picking up the internet and the internet is on and everything ejse picks it up

If other web functions happen, then it's not a router issue it's a blueray issue. This sounds really familiar. I think I too had this prob. I hard wired the player just like my tower and left the wi fi to broadcast wife's laptop and Tab. I also remember having to do some data entry that the blueray required, ie Uverse numbers. Some blueray get you tube Can you? Can you get anything web-ish on bluray? Consider these questions. If nothing internet related can be accessed on player, and you know it is capable, then possibly the (I use bright yellow) the ethernet RJ46 swap around, even try the same ethernet cable to your tower. does it get internet like previous? Your router have enabler switches for each port? mine doesn't. Does a laptop get a good web connection via wi fi? can you get Netflix on your Tower? how about Netflix on your routered laptop? try this path of thinking and happy trouble shooting warrior......

Belkin wireless network fails to connect with toshiba blu ray

Unplug the router for 10 seconds and again plug in. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve network problems on a Belkin router.

Disable the "Windows Firewall," which might be preventing an outgoing connection. Click the "Start" menu, type "Windows Firewall" and press "Enter." Click "Turn Windows Firewall on or off." Click on "Off." Click "OK."

Make sure the router is connected properly to your modem with an Ethernet cable via the router's "WAN" port on the back.

Follow the simple steps to set up the Belkin wireless router

I BOUGHT A BLUERAY PLAYER NOW SAYS NO CONNECTION BOUGHT A BELKIN ROUTER SO WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET THE ROUTER TO CONNECT TO THE BLUERAY PLAYER

Well first you have to connect the router to your modem for the internet and follow the steps in instructions to set up router. Make you are able to connect to internet on your pc. Then you will have to make sure that your blue ray has wifi built in or is wifi ready with the wifi adapter. if not you can run a network cable from the router to the blueray. You will then search fro a network connection on your bluray and connect it. Hope this helps, best of luck to you :)

I have this router Belkin G Router Model :

belkin routers are compatible with all ISPs.... all that it requires is an ethernet cable that should come from ISP, either directly or through modem... so if your virgin connection gives you an ethernet port in their modem, you can configure the belkin router accordingly...

inorder to connect to the belkin router you should have an ethernet outlet from the modem...even if it is an usb modem, go ahead and check whether there is an ethernet port...if there is an ethernet port, then connect it to the MODEM port of BELKIN router using an ethernet cable...if no ethernet port is found then it willnot be possible to connect to the belkin router...
because belkin router has got only ethernet port for getting connected to the ISP...

New belkin router f5d7230-4

You have 3 units: PC >cable modem > router.

First turn your PC off . Take the power connectors off the cable modem and the router.

Then, Plug an ethernet cable into the internet cat5 port on the cable modem.
Take the other end of the cable an plug it into the Internet/Wan port on the router (I believe it is green on your router.
Then take another ethernet cable, plug it into any one of the 4 ports on the router.
Take the other end and plug it into your PC.
Plug in the power to the cable modem first. Wait 30 seconds. Then plug in the power to the router.
Again, wait 30 seconds. Then start up your PC.
After the PC boots to your desktop, you should be able to get online.

This procedure will work with cable Internet providers, If you have DSL, your username and password needs to be put into the router's setup.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Belkin router with a laptop

1. First you need to configure your router with your laptop wired or physically connected to it.
2. Connect your modem to router's WAN/Internet port. Then your laptop will be connected to the one of the router's Ethernet port using an RJ45 or Ethernet cable.
3. You may run the setup cd that came with the router. Configure it with the Internet connection type that Bell Sympatico requires.
4. The setup cd will also require you to set up wireless in the router. Once it is done, disconnect your computer from the router.
5. Enable wifi in your laptop and select the wireless network that you set up and connect to it.
