The first thing to check is the fill valve switch.there may be a reset on it.does the unit fill with water when it is not in a cycle??.if so then check the main control board and look for any evidence of damage from sudden loss and regain of power.
you can unplug the unit and let it rest for a few minutes. if it continues then you might need to replace the main control board.and or the fill valve switch, also as you check the fill valve make suret o check the rubber hose that runs down from the switch to the tub and make sure it is not blocked and or have a hole in the rubber tubing

Kenmore side by side icemaker not working after power outage, but water at door dispencer

Pull the machine out and remove the lower back cover. Locate the water valve. With the water turned on and connected remove the 5/16" water line (the bigger one) and then have someone else press the water in the door. If the cylinoid is operating correctly it should spray water out. If it is not operating properly it should at least hum and vibrate. If that does not occur your problem lies elsewhere. As far as the smaller line (1/4") you have to manually advance the ice maker and wait for it to call for water with the 1/4" line disconnected from the valve. You can do this by getting a jumper wire, removing the cover of icemaker, which you jsut grab and pull off, and using the jumper wire insert one end of the wire into the cirle marked m and the other in the cicle marked n. Leave there until you hear a click and sometimes see a little spark behind the modular head wheel. Also if you see ice in the maker that hasn't dumper and the teeth of the icemaker are facing any direction other than two o clock position, the icemaker is bad. Also check the fill tube to be sure the no ice is blocking water from coming in.

Doesn't fill with water. Removed inlet valve and it tested good. Float works but limit switch seems not to get power. Don't know what to do next.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. Power for the water valve comes from terminal 4 of the timer to the float switch through the water valve and then to the door switch before reaching L2 of the power source.

See the wiring data here:

Check for power on Terminal 4 (marked AQ) of the timer. (No power.... most likely a door switch problem) The rest of the circuit you can read continity. You should read continuity from AQ of the timer to one terminal of the power source with the door closed and latched.

If you need more assistance just respond here and I will help you.

MAVT734EWW washer's water level not working, will just keep filling the drum and not stop even when open top door or click knob to off, have to turn water off at the source

A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve.Replace the water valve with this part.

My water dispenser doesn't work. I have ice. Water comes up to the valve at the bottom of the freezer and then stops. What should I do?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
Since you did not provide a model number I can not provide you an exact parts source.
Here is what you can do to trouble shoot. Open the back fiber board cover on the bottom rear of the unit. Unplug the unit for 15 minutes (compressor stabilization time) Locate the inlet water valve and swap the power connectors to the solenoids. I.e ice to water in door. Plug in the refrigerator Then depress briefly the water in door switch with a glass. NOTE: The ice maker will start to fill. If the icemaker starts to fill then all of the door wiring is good and the water inlet valve solenoid has failed or is stuck. Unplug the refrigerator and wait 15 minutes before re-applying power. Return the inlet water valve solenoid wires to the original installed positions.

Here are sources for the water inlet valve: (enter the model number at the top of the page and use model search)

Also here: (Enter model number)

If you need more assistance I will gladly help you. Jest respond to this post.

Water keeps filling even if dishwater is off or if the door is open, the only way to stop it is from turning tap valve off below the sink.

Your dishwasher water fill valve is defective. Remove power from the DW. Remove the bottom toe kick panel. The water valve has the incoming water line connected to it.Remove the wires from the valve. If the water stops entering you have a bad timer. If it makes no difference you have a bad valve. The valve is a replaceable part. The timer is a replaceable part.

Kenmore Ice Maker

Sounds like a water valve problem to me. Force the ice maker to cycle. (turn it off and let it get cold for at least an hour then turn it back on). Test for voltage on the ice maker side of the valve. The valve is usually in the back near the floor. Just follow the water line. Another solution. switch the wires on the water valve. then try the water dispenser and see if it makes the ice maker fill up. See if when the ice maker cycles water comes out the door. If the ice maker causes water in the door , replace the valve, If door switch causes ice maker to fill up replace ice maker again.
