How to fix my cyber-shot dsc-t70 camera?

All three of you are in luck! This definitely sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Sony should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following link for more info:

imager is going bad due to moisture. try using hair dryer to dry it out. if not flat rate to sony is around 120

The focus doesn't move as it should - it was stuck before you tapped it. Could be sand or something in it. I'm afraid you will have to give it away for a repair. it's actually a failure with the lens mechanism, I just experienced the same situation....Sony has another T20 that they had the same situation with and they offered to fix the cameras until July 2011..currently checking if Sony will fix this defect in this T70
