A steady light is cartridge error, any other problem will give you a flashing light.

Please follow the instructions here, they also apply to Designjet 450C:HP Inkjet Supplies - Print Cartridge Errors

Let me know in case that does not clear the error.

Hi, sorry, the link above (HP Inkjet Supplies - Print Cartridge Errors) covers the blinking light, mine was a typing mistake, I wanted to say the opposite, I read your clear question.

You can follow the troubleshooting above to check if it is cartridge error.

    Additionally check for:

    Data error while printing.

Turn off the printer. Unplug cable. Empty printer cue on computer. This is the easiest thing to check. I bet you have done this already. Ensure you have unplugged cable and done this.

Check for jammed paper, if there is nothing else, then there may be a fault. In that case the printer must be tested

    1 Data error.

I was plotting graphs of quadratic functions and all of a sudden i had error message: INVALID DIM. What do I do?

If you were graphing equations in the y= screen, chances are that you have Plot 1 or one of the other plots on. You can tell if this is the case if you have a black box over plot 1, plot 2 or plot 3 in the y= screen. To turn of the plot with the black box over it, arrow up and over if needed to highlight this black box. Press enter and you will turn the plots off and should be able to graph.

Another solution is is press the 2nd key, then the + key, then the 7 key, then the 1 key & the 2 key. This clears the RAM and resets the calculator to the original factory defaults.

Hope this helps/

Max file size 450c can plot ?

You should have no trouble with the unit as additional buffering will be done in your PC if necessary. These units are a one pass rather than a whole page at a time.

Having trouble with my TI-83 plus

Some old junk is in memory. Reset the memory to defaults and everything will be fine. It is a good practice to clear memory before a new calculation.
To reset memory
Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All ram][2:Reset] [EMTER] . Clear screen and enter the functions you want to graph.
Hope it helps.

When i try to graph a scatter plot on my ti-83 plus it says ERR:INVALID DIM or it gives me a blank graph, how do i graph it?

Your stat plots are on, and may not be filled out/ correctly filled out.
go to [Y=] and go up to the stat plots ([Plot 1], [Plot 2], [Plot 3] ) and turn off the ones that are "ON" ( highlighed black w/ white text.) and press [ENTER] on the ones that are on and the problem is no more.

Incomplete plot from .pdf file - Hp DesignJet 1050C Plus

Was the plot originally done on a size D or E plotter.. A .pdf is generally not a good way to send a plot that has to be done to scale.. Can they re-send the plot in a hpgl format, or a format that you can use in another program, liks ACAD, and then print it through that program? This would provide you with some control, that a pdf document will not allow.

This is just a stab in the dark for me, but I am familiar with plotters in general, just not the many formats to print from..

In my 8 years of servicing plotters I haven't seen published specs as far as the paper thickness goes. But from experience and seeing my customers produce problems free plots, you don't want to plot on anything past 30 lb media. 99% of plots are done in the 18-24lbs range. Media Types: Paper (plain, vellum, coated, glossy) Film (vellum, coated, glossy, clear, matte), Translucent Bond for Black output only
Hope this helps

check your rip settings in the plotters control panel, as well as checking to make sure you are using the correct driver, if those are correct then you may have a faulty network card.
Good Luck!
