How easy is it to replace a leaking brake line under the driver's side door on a 1995 oldsmobile cutlass ciera?

In most cases on these older GM vehicles it is much easier to replace the lines from the master cylinder all the way to the rear wheels. You should be able to find brake lines that are preferred and have the correct fitting for what you need to do. Compression fittings are a definite No No!

some things to check ahead of time.
1. Do all the bleeder screws open? If not you may be replacing wheel cylinders and calipers.
2. Are the brake hoses cracked? If they are might as well replace them at the same time.
3. Are the pads and shoes in good shape. If they are getting thin might as week replace them as well.

Just about every GM that I get in the shop with rusted brake lines to the rear end up with a $800 +/- bill. 3 hours labor, 20+ feet of line, proportioning valves (later models), fittings, wheel cylinders. And a bleed and flush.

The lines don't have to look pretty they just have to work!

good luck and let us know how it goes.

Odometer not working on 1997 suburban

Hello BDG, The answer is no. If the VSS fails on your 97 Chevy, you will lose both speedometer and odometer functions. If your speedo is still working and your odometer is not, you have a broke odometer. This is a common failure with a lot of the older vehicles that were fitted with the mechanical odometer registers. Feel free to contact Kincer's Service for a repair salution.

Front fan/aircon not working in delica spacegear . Rear working fine.

Common fault here they wear out ,now what i do as they are so expensive is to fit a fan from a citreon xsara picasso ,the older model without all the built in resistance block and with a bit of jiggle and fettling i make it fit .Yes iam a cowboy but the customer was happy it worked and saved a lot of money ,ok its not the correct part and on full speed its noisy but shes happy with it ,this vehicle has a few of my touches like a catalyic converter from a old cheroke jeep ,bit of welding on the rear seats ,header bottle from a VW i think it was ,parts are so expensive and dealer only for a mitsubishi unlike a ford or a GM product

Installing 85 Iroc 305 into 57 Chevy; need wiring diagram to create EFI harness from car harness

Check out faxonautoliterature.com. They have an assortment of literature that should be able to get you up and running. There are original GM dealer service manuals for both vehicles which would have complete wiring diagrams. They list a separate wiring diagram book for the Camero. They have 2 different books on swapping newer GM engines into older GM vehicles. I've used them before and had excellent service. Hope this helps.

Hooking up audio

Unfortunately, even if you get the wiring sorted out, the Ford radio chassis does not fit in a GM - the mounting is entirely different. The wiring harnesses and colors are also entirely different. Maybe best to find a GM radio - most of the GM radios should fit and plug right in.
