Commonly caused by one of the toner cartridges.
try removung one at a time, closing the door each time, and see if the noise goes away with a cartridge missing...

replace the suspect cartridge.

Printer squeeks when it starts to print

Usually it's the fuser that starts to squeak in a laser printer. It needs to be replaced.

I havean HP 2600n, anything red prints in a faded yellow. I've seen other posting regarding this put all answers suggest something wrong with the printer. However, when I had a supplies status page...

change the cartridges. Theres nothing else that can alter the color like that without rewriting the drivers. B4 you do, take each one out, shake gently from side to side to even out any toner, and try again. If they print better, your toner is low.

Our dryer has a terrible squeak. We replaced the

The terrible squeak is probably the idler pulley shaft spalling in the idle pulley mount. When the idler pulley siezes to to pulley shaft it spins in the mount and makes a horrible racket.

It can be the motor bearings also but I doubt it at this time. With the belt off you can spin the motor and listen for any odd sound. If you hear nothing then the problem is definately the idler pulley assy.

It is normal for the drum to float in place. When there is a problem with the drum or drum felts, you usually hear a cyclic scrape or grinding sound that is concurrent with each rotation of the drum.

Thanks for using FixYa.

2600n:phantom repeat

most likely the fuser. maybe transfer.
This is the test to determine toner or fuser issue.
Print a test page
When you hear the paper feed into the machine open the top to stop the machine
You should be able to see the page with printing on it. (This is before the page hits the fuser)
If the page is clean no ghosts the problem is most likely the fuser.

You are spilling blue toner. Try to vacuum out the excess blue toner from the machine. Be careful not to scratch the transfer belt.
