Question about Wolf Range CHR-0-29-FT34 Gas Kitchen Range

1 Answer

I just got my (new to me) pre-1990 Wolf 36'' range connected (by a certified pro). 4 burners, 12'' fry top/charbroiler/cheesemelter thingie on left, 4 burners on right, 29'' oven - propane. It has not been used in years - was dusty, and it was hard to light the pilots at first. After some adjustments, the pilots did stay lit. The oven pilot, however, is quite yellow. When I turn the temperature dial up on the oven, the flame seems soooo high, and does not seem to go down even when turning the dial to very low. I might add that I am a professional restaurant chef (30 years) - so I am used to working with an oven like this. Can you advise?

The oven pilot has 2 setting first setting is for you to light small flame, should not be all yellow if it is it has a dirty orifice inside the pilot hood, you can remove this by disconnecting the pilot line from the hood and removing orifice for cleaning, just rub it with a cloth.once clean and replaced you light pilot and check it out. if its ok turn on oven and secondary pilot will ignite that why it got bigger!! this heats a flame sensor to allow 100% safty vavle to open to let gas into burner so yuo can cook.

My wolf range model A36KI/AS36KI DON'T STOP CLIKING WHEN IS ON

Is this happening on only one burner? If so, the igniter might be dirty or the burner itself has a clogged hole(s) where the igniter is positioned. The igniter module must detect a flame, or it will keep clicking even after the burner lights. A dirty igniter or clogged burner will prevent this from happening. First, try cleaning the igniter using a q-tip and some alcohol. If that doesn't work, clean out the burner holes. IMPORTANT: Let everything dry thoroughly before attempting to light the burner after cleaning. You can use a hair dryer to help dry things out faster if you want.

I have a 36'' Wolf LP oven with 4 burners and a charbroiler in the center, When lighting the charbroiler, the electronic igniter continues clicking up to 5 minutes after the charbroiler lights

Hi.

The igniters are all controlled by a main hub switch located under the cooktop panel.

Replace the sparking igniters module to fix the sticky igniters problem.

Regards.

Ginko.

Older 6 burner wolf commercial range ignition problem.

If it were the gas regulator, existing flames would go down as more burners are turned on.

There are set screws on the pilot fittings that come out of the manifold, you could try turning those Counter-clockwise to turn the pilots up. (Don't loosen them all the way, they will fall out!) If that doesn't work chances are the pilot stems will have to be replaced to get a higher pilot flame.
