Question about Insignia IS-LCDTV32 32 in. Television

1 Answer

Can my tv play sound through tv and speakers?

I recently purchased the aftermentioned tv. I also purchased some logitech speakers with a sub woofer included. They have the earpiece plug in, and thats how i connected it. I was wondering if i could play both tv and speakers at the same time.

Also, regarding sound: when i plug in the speakers and wish to mute the tv, the sound will come out through the television instead of speakers. I intially thought both were playing at the same time when not on mute, but they alternate.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

There should be an Output in the back of the TV. You will need to get an RCA cable which is the Yellow Red and White cables. Connect the yellow and white cable to the Output in the back of the TV and connect the other end to the Speakers.

Where can i purchase the audio cables that connect the Logitech X 230 sub woofer to my laptop and mp3 player

Usually you can purchase audio cables for speakers and sub-woofers from any or authorized PC outlets.
Just explain to the dealership what you want to connect it to and they will shoe you the right "jack" to buy.

No left side output to speaker

Check the line in jack. Often it will be somewhat damaged and provide only mono output. Check the connection between the sub woofer and the speakers as well. Wiggle it around while sound is playing. Report back with any information!

Could you tell me what plug in ports i need for X540 or 530- on my desktop

You need three ports in order to use all the speakers 5.1 sound. They are all headphone jacks but they are front speakers, rear speakers, and sub/center

Gurus, I just bought Samsung Home Theater System which i connected to my Hitachi TV with HDMI cable. I have a Optical Cable going from HT to my TV Optical port. I have another connection from my cable

On the remote control for the Samsung Home Theater System look at the bottom left to a button that says "MODE", those moods change the sound each speaker gives off. if that doesn't work, you might need new wiring because there are other wires that are more durable than the ones that come with it, much better too.

TV sound only thru front and sub woofer speakers only

this might be happening because the audio format for surround is not supported by the channel or affiliate of the channel that you are viewing does this happen on all tv channels or is it on just a few? if all sound while playing a dvd is proper and in working order than there must be an issue with the sound and or format of sound from the tv source. maybe more information would help me decipher this

anyways hope it helps

No sound out of woofer

Hello sparkie102
Happy Holidays
you have to check if all the cables are well connected, and in the right inputs. 2) check your software for sound that is enable, fine.
turn up the sub volume , if got it independent.
other that this, is a failure sub. if got warranty, use it! or RMS your sub.

Shorted Sub-woofer

try this site first; http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-... but it sounds as if something has fried in the amp - if you look inside you may well see some burning marks around some of the components. Another possilility is that the cable being pulled out pulled something inside the speaker that has damaged the cone or more likely the power supply , but the symptoms you describe suggest an amplifier issue, possibly caused by damage to the power supply system. Hope this helps :)
