Question about Dell Dimension™ B110 PC Desktop
As you will be able to tell, I am a complete novice when it comes to computers. I need to know how to hook up speakers to my dell B110 computer. I also have a Labtec something with a push button in the middle of the top with a green light that is lit when the button is pushed in. Can you help?
2 things are needed to get sound from your speakers:
1-wiring connecting your speakers to a socket to the back of the computer. (The spot they need to plug in to ON YOUR COMPUTER is a small light green circular socket. The other end of the plug you plug in here should run to one of your speakers *usually the right side speaker-the right speaker should then have separate wiring to connect the left speaker.)
2- A source of power.
Some speakers use their own power source and plug in to a power outlet - your wall. Other types have a USB type plug and plug into a USB port in your computer and that is how THOSE get their power.
Those are the basics of sound setup. Some computers are equipped with more complicated setups such as surround sound, subwoofers, digital and more. Reply if you need more help, I will try to assist you further.
Hope this helps.

Im not positive, but on most PCs, the speakers have a colored end. (i.e. green, red, purple) whatever color it is, there should be an identicle color on the back of your tower. plug it in and computer should pick it up. you might have to change settings on computer to get it to play sound from the speakers. to do that there are a number of ways. easiest is to right click on volume control on bottom right hand corner of your computer. go to mixer or playback devices. then select your speakers....other than that just adjust how loud youd like it
