you will need an advanced movie editor or converter that can convert the video from the supported types(even if it is already an .avi file) to: 320x240 resolution, using the xvid mpeg4 codec for video and mpeg layer3 mp3 audio codec. the quality can only be as high as 64 kbps i believe. the player itself comes with a converter either built-in or on a cd. this converter sucks though and wont sync up the audio to the video very well at all. so i suggest you use a high quality converter so the videos will be watchable.
save the movie file as an AVI(audio, video interlaced) file in a folder you can find in the computer hard drive. go to opal and the pc library click on the import media tab. go to the folders tab and find the folder with the AVI file. click the import media button and there should be a screen showing the pharase transfering all compatible media. the files should then be found in the opal pc library under video. click the file you wish to upload, then click on the transfer to device tab. it should then begin converting the file, which may take a while. after the conversion it should begin transfering the file to the player. install the samsung installation cd in your computer. this will automatically convert any supported format into svi format (samsung video interleave). Just plug your ypt10 and the samsung media player will detect it automatically. Open any video format into your samsung media player. rightclick the video file and it will transfer the video file automatically.
Download the emodio software, install and add files from DESKTOP!!!!! (copy there). Once into Emodio, click the arrow over to convert and transfer. Let it convert and try to transfer.....after it reports failed to transfer, go to default folder for converted file(win7 is documents/video/emodio/videos) copy to s3/s3/video.
Oh I no what your doing wrong WMV is a Audio format not a movie format i suggest you get a converter off google and download it they are very easy to use and i also suggest you use AVI but im not too sure that it can read AVI but most converters show you if they are Audio or Movie so i hope you have fun and i hope i helpped you out BYE.

Download the upgraded version of the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter from www.usasupport.philips.com. If the upgraded version still does not recognize certain file types, download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder - it is supposed to be a program that converts video formats to FLV format, but it has the neat feature of being able to do the opposite. Any video file that the Philips does not recognize can be converted to AVI format using Riva. Make sure the audio feature is enabled in Riva or you will get picture and no sound. Once it is converted to an AVI, the Philips Media Converter will see it, and you can either convert the file to a folder, or you can transfer it directly to the GoGear. Note: the Philips Media Converter will not properly convert video files that are longer than 15 minutes long - in order to transfer an entire movie, you will have to use video editing software to break the long file into 15-minute chunks. You will then have to convert the chunks using the Philips Media Converter.
The archos will only play M-peg 4 type files unless you buy on of the plug ins, so the way round it is to crack a dvd using "dvd shrink" this will get round the copy protection then convert the cracked dvd to m-peg 4 im using "any video converter" tese programs can be downloaded free on the net. not sure if this is the easiest way but it works
Yp-t9 can only play svi files.First convert those mp4 files into avi or wmv files. And use samsung media studio to put them into your yp-t9.The samsung media studio will convert ai and wmv files to svi.Or jus try to convert those mp4 files with Samsung media studio. It converts sometimes.
