Question about HP LaserJet 2420 Printer
Depending on what the mark looks like depends on whether you can clean a component or have to replace the cartridge. If it is a small black dot at a consistent repetitive interval repeating 6-8 times/page then you may be able to clean it. If this is the case there is likely a piece of debris on the primary charge roller, it is a black rubber roller that should be visible trough the slot on the top of the cartridge. To clean the debris off you will need a dry clean Q-tip. You will have to rotate the imaging drum manually from the underside towards the end of the cartridge that goes into the printer first. Do this slowly and watch for a spot on the PCR where the defect on the page is. Hopefully you can find it and clean it off, if not you will have to replace the cartridge.
