Open up the top case. the fuse will be on the power supply board right next to where the power cord plugs in. you'll need a continuity tester to test it. if it is blown, replace it with the exact size and type. if it is not blown, replace the power supply.

The projector turns on but won't project any light through the lens.

If this is a NEC VT series projector, Change the lamp. When if it continues to blink amber and not project and image after installing a new lamp check the lamp cover to see if the micro switch tab on the lamp cover broke off. Some models have a built in lens cover. If the cover is not slid over to open completely the light may not turn on.

I have no power to my EPSON EMP-X5.. what should i do to make it turned on.. it has totally no power at all.. i just left it stock for 3 weeks.. and then it happens.. we use it at our church.. please help...

Just check its power chord. Without power ON, nothing can be done with the projector. Try it with other plug point. If it also does not help you, the projector need service. There is protection fuse inside it, which caannot be replaced by the user, without proper knoledge in electronics, and sufficiant tools to open it. OK.

My projector went from color to black and white then the projector turned off

Sounds like a similar problem I had not too long ago. I ended up having it repaired; turned out the colorwheel broke.

I own a HP MP1900 projector and it wont turn on anymore...the bulb does not look blown and it never gave a going bad msg?

First check that the plug is in the socket and the power is switched on. (don't laugh, a friend did that just last week!) Next check if the fuse in the plug is OK. If you have no spare fuse try swapping one from another plug that you know does work. Next check the projector for signs of an inbuilt secondary fuse. These are often a circular access about 1to 1.5 cm across that screws out of the body of the projector. Hopefully one of these may cure your problem.

The Fan does not run on my Ektalite 1500

Either the power motor has failed or the fan belt has broke. With the lamp removed (important!!), turn the projector on and see if the slide change mechanism functions. If it functions (moves your slide tray back & forth), then chances are that it is the fan belt. If it does not move the tray, then I would suspect the lamp thermal fuse has opened. Either problem will require a repair by a factory-trained repair dealer.

Projector not working

Have you tried the internal fuse? without a proper fuse in the panel you will get no power i.e. lights and such to the device. Simple but the first place to check.

NEC Projector

they have a fuse on the power board inside the projector itself, But normally the fuse does not go bad unless their is a dead short in the unit.
