Turn the system on without a game in. Go into the system options, and there is a screen calibration function. Start it up, and it explains itself from there.

Has the system been dropped recently? Also, do you commonly store it in your pocket while you are on the go? To me, it sounds like the touch screen may have a slight bend in it, which can be caused by either one of these things (or perhaps something else all together). Any time that tension is put on a touch screen, it has a chance to bend slightly. Even a very slight bend in a touch screen can cause it to work improperly. Many touch screen cellular phones have this issue, and it is becoming a common problem with many touch-screen devices. Fortunately, Nintendo is able to fix these relatively quickly. It will likely still be under warranty, and you probably won't have to pay for it. Here is the website where you can get started.

I got my DS touch screen all wet and now it doesn't respond to being touched. What do I do so that it responds to being touched now.

Electronics like a Nintendo DS get messed up if you get them all wet (e.g. drop it in a tub full of water). My guess is after you got your DS all wet, your touch screen stopped working.

My only solutions to this problem is:

Visit support.nintendo.com

or call 1-800-255-3700 for Nintendo DS assistance.

Nintendo DS touch screen not working properly

Turn the ds on without a game in it and go to the settings icon (looks like a tiny ds) on the bottom middle of the screen then go to the far right yellow icon and it will re-calibrate the touch screen and let you know if calibration was a success.
