Usb not recognizing weccam or printer

I have a logitech webcam installed in my window xp for the last 18 mths
it suddenly stopped working, thought it was broke. Ckecked it in another computer and it worked. Tried to connect my printer ,that was not recognized either. So i looked at all applications and there is a yellow box beside the USB icon.Everything else operates ok.
I would appreciate anyone who can offer a solution. It would be very much appreciated.
Kind Regards

Try this, Go to device manager... Remove & Uninstall anything USB. Then reboot and THEN reinstall the Driver THEN and only then connect up your webcam.. It may again ask for drivers if so point it to where they are.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

You have to update your BIOS from the PC manufacturing website. When they become outdated things randomly stop working. It is a KNOWN glitch.

Logitech M510 suddenly stopped working

What does the device manager say about the hardware?
It could be loss of the usb device controller. Windows XP is old and that is an indication that the hardware is old too.

Installing a logitech wbcam..c310...on xp sp2..Computer does not recognize camera after restart.

You will have to unplug your webcam from your computer and install the software again.
It is important that you first uninstall your Logitech camera software from your computer.
You will be prompted by the software to plug in your camera, do so that time only.

I am sure your webcam will work fine with Xp , but I will suggest that you make a clean install.
A clean install can possible solve your problem, if your first installation of the software for your webcam didn't install properly or another program in your computers memory was conflicting with it.

How do i stop my webcam from being used by other applications?

I would close down those applications, if they are being run in start up and you run any flavor of windows (XP or above) then under Control Panel>Adminstrative Tools>Services you can find the service that starts the application and stop the service, so it only runs when you specifically open the application

My video stopped working on my Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. No picture or video. I just used it last on Tuesday and now nothing. I even reinstalled the software..still nothing. Help!

Check if the device enumerated
click on Start
Computer > right click > manage > Device Manager, click on it

You should see in "Imaging devices" a "USB Video Device".

If not then device did not enumerate.
If you see a yellow circle in "oher devices" try to updated the driver by clicking on it.
