My Maytag washer model MAV208DAWWmakes a loud screech at the end of the spin cycle, and the clothes are sill wet

That is the brake. Your clutch maybe wearing out. Or the belt maybe slipping because the rollers for the motor maybe wearing out.

Loud noise on spin cycle...sounds like a bad bearing maybe????? any advice on this noise?

It's hard to pinpoint it from your description. But it might be either the motor coupler, or transmission. Does it agitate alright with no noise? It could be center shaft bearings too if it only makes the noise in spin. Either way, with transmission, or center shaft bearings, the transmission needs to be removed. The motor coupler is a lot easier. It's what drives everything and is used instead of a belt. If the rubber is worn out, it can make an awful noise. If this helps, please rate my answer. Thank you.

When entering spin cycle, making a loud noise. I

Check your belt it may be lose. A lose belt will cause a squealing noise and the machine spin slower or take time to come up to full speed

Loud noise during spin cycle... maybe a bearing or belt.... no problems during wash cycle

First of all check there is no coin or similar object stuck between the barrel and outer drum. or could be possible object in pump. If you take a look at back of drum (presuming it's a front loader) Look for any water at bottom f drum, this could indicate water seal bearing trouble. If it is the latter then dont just replace water seal, replace the bearings as well. A set of bearings and water seal will cost around £50/£75 and should take a few hours to do.

Washer wont agitate or spin

Sounds like your transmission is going bad. usually they will pop the belt when going out. Probably with a service call and the cost of the transmission, you'd do better heading to sears. Sorry to bear the bad news. Good luck.

My kenmore 80 series washer went to the spin cycle then made a loud noise like maybe a belt is slipping around? its a loud vibration the water will still drain but will not agitate or spin. However, it...

no belt,it is direct drive(use a coupler)yours is broke, remove the 2 head screws one on each side, flip up disconnect the wire jack, pop the 2 spring clips out one on each side, tilt the cabinet toward you and pull it off, remove the 2 water pump spring clips, pull pumpoff, remove the 2 motor spring clips and the motor will fall off into yours hands, now you can see how the coupler goes on,you can get a coupler from your local appiance part store for $5,let me know how you make out-mike

Loud noise on spin cycle

How did that answer get an 83% rating? It is absolutely useless. My washer has the exact same problem as described above.During the spin cycle it sounds like a jet engine. It kinda sounds like the belt hitting the drive wheel but may be bearings in the motor.
