Question about Refrigerators
I have a model FRS26ZRFW1 Frigidaire, bought on June 97. I followed your instructions for a similar problem and replaced de thermostat. The freezer still making frost build up, closing the circulation of the freeze and not cooling the refrigerator. Because my model is different I couldn’t find the timmer to replace.
I did check the heat element with the digital multimeter set to de beep position, but I couldn't hear anything. I also tested the new thermostat and it checked closed when cold and opened after removed from the ice.
What should I do?
You're right! I did change de heater and the fridge is working great now.

Your heater should def "BEEP" when checking for continuity. if not you got a bad heater, defrost timer should be located under left or right side of kickplate

Hey friend, thank you for the post!
From my understanding you are trying to set your Frigidaire refrigerator into defrost mode. In order to be able to provide you accurate information on how to do so could you provide me with your model number please? You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside cabinet of the fresh food compartment normally on the left side in a top mount. But on a side by side and a French door refrigerator it can be found on the right hand side. I look forward to hearing back from you. -Matt

Its defrost problem, the freezer should cool,
then freeze, then defrost cycle should start. In your case freezer is cooling,
then freezing, but its not defrosting. That's why fridge section is not
