Question about Televison & Video
My Sony Bravia KDL-32W5500 is half a year old, worked fine, but now doesn't switch on. The red indicator light does become green when it is switched on, and its brightness reacts to signals of the remote control, but no picture and no sound. Nor any response to video input. What is wrong?
It seems that your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
Remember there are leathl Voltages inside TV's, and generally these days don't contain any "User Servicable parts" like in the "Old" days, instead Board Replacment is all that is generally done.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.
