Question about Yamaha DVD-S540 DVD Player

1 Answer

DVD S540-needs password and screen scrolls

I inadvertantly selected the incorrect TV on the setup. Now the screen is scrolling so quickly I cannot make out individual words. Also it is now asking for a password (which there isn't one).

Usually this would signal a bad disc, but if the discs have been known to be good, then your lens may be failing.

If it's a V-Chip, Parental Control issue, here's the solution. Make sure RF coaxial cable is connected to TV. Press "V-Chip Menu" on the remote. On Password, press "Enter" on the remote. In Password, enter 666666, then press "Enter". Scroll down to "Modify-PW" by using CH+ or CH- key, then press "Enter". Enter 000000, then press "Enter". Select" V-Chip Menu" to exit V-Chip. Select V-Chip Menu again. On "Password", press "Enter" key on remote control. Enter 000000 in "Password", then press "Enter". Scroll down to "V-Chip", press "Enter". TV should display a list of all TV ratings. Use CH+ or CH-, scroll to TV-Y. Then press "Enter" key on remote. Be sure that all ratings are set to "On". Repeat the steps above and set all ratings to "On". Then select "Exit", press "Enter". Press V-Chip Menu" to close on-screen menu.

    MMS retreival

Mobile phones take and display pictures in a wide variety of resolutions and file formats. Many phones can't display some of these pictures from different models because their display resolution is not compatible.

Do you have this problem on every MMS received (from different users), or is this an intermittent problem?

It sounds like you are receiving an MMS forwarding message, where the content of the message is actually stored on a web server that you log into with the information that was forwarded to you.

Please check the following MMS settings on your phone and verify that they match:

From the standby screen, press the Menu Key.

    Scroll to "Settings," press Select.

    Scroll to "WebAccess," press Select.

Scroll to "Web Sessions," press Select.

Scroll to "Cingular MMS" press Menu.

    (if not there select "new")

    Scroll to "Edit," press Select.

By not bothering purchasing ringtones from Cingular. Purchase "Motorola Phone Tools" and let her create her own ring tones. :) It will save you money in the long run, BELIEVE me.
