Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Trying to scan and when I do it comes up no scan option refer to device documention please help

Step Three: Run the DESTTEST file.
=================================
1. Close all applications including HP Director.

2. Open and run the DESTTEST file from the location: C:\Programfiles\hp\digitalimaging\bin\
(The above mention location will be listed once software completely installed).

3. the DESTTEST, will opens like the following:

4. Change the Option 1 to WEB _APP. (By scrolling down, you can find out)
( By default it will be set to NONE, which will have the entire list (Common List)).

5. On the First 6th option “Close Dest Test After sending to Destination”, put a check mark ( √ ) and click on Save Results Before Exit.

6. Click on Exit in the bottom.

7. Now Open the HP Director, Click on Settings -> Scan Settings & Preferences -> Scan To …Setup.

8. You will see all Button settings on the right side under the front panel destination List. In Case If not, click on Restore Defaults, click on Apply and click on Ok.

9. Turn off the Printer & Turn it ON.

10. Check the functionality.

I keep trying to scan a document on my hp officejet j4580 all i n one that i just installed and itkeeps saying refer to device documents, no scan option.. what should i do i cant find ne thing about it in...


Kindly install the scanner software for printer the driver software cd just re install it will install the scanner software and make sure in device manger there is not other usb device listed if it is there just remove it. And refresh it in will automatically install the driver.

For normal scanning you can choose the option of Scanners and Cameras wizard in control panel. But it is better if you have software disk of printer because it contains more option.

I'm trying to scan a document and it says "No Scan Options. Refer to device documentation." It will not scan. What do I do?


In order to scan, you need to be connected to your computer with HP scanning software running. No scan options means it needs to know where to scan to, what format to save in, and what to do with the scanned image. If you want to copy, you just copy, but scanning requires software on your computer.

Im not sure of this ..maybe the scanner driver has been corrupt ...uninstall all existing printer driver on your computer...and install a new compatible one..^_^.
