Question about Garden
Well we can take care of the wiring problem. The other may be more of a problem without actually seeing what is what.
For the wiring:
You should have a white and a white/red stripe wire coming from the door opener console/switch. The white wire goes to post #2 on the opener and the white/red stripe wire goes to #1.
Then you should have 2 pairs of bell wire coming from the sensors. Both have a solid white and a white/black stripe wire. Both of the white wires go to post #2 and both of the white/black stripe wires go to post #3.
As far as the door brackets, first thing I would ask you check is to see if the manual handle is pulled before you try to put it up. The latch mechanism should be like an L. If it is like an I it is locked out. Pull the emergency release handle toward the opener to place the latch in the L position. It should connect the next time the opener is activated. Like I said it is very difficult to understand what exactly is happening without seeing it.
