Well if it is a walk behind style it could be the drive is out of adjustment, also craftsman were famous for the cable mounts bending and that will throw them out of adjustment. follow the traction drive linkage down to the base of the blowe and there should be an adjustment, or it will be under the belt gaurd or even on the handle on some.

The first thing to check is the cable adjustment. Follow your manual to get the correct gap. After that, the next most likely cause is your friction disk is worn out. Here's a youtube video showing how to replace it (different model snowblower, but the principal is the same).
HOW TO Replace The Friction Disc on Murray Noma Craftsman Snowblowers...
One thing Donnyboy73 didn't mention is to run the blower out of gas before you put it into the service position (IE standing upright on the auger housing).

If the friction disk was worn out, it's best to go ahead and check (and replace if necessary) both belts. Usually they will be worn when the friction disk is worn. Personally I recommend using OEM parts; especially when it comes to belts.

Snow blower runs and auger/ blade rotates but the wheels Anne not rotating. 2- stage Aries 5520. Not sure if the thrower piece is rotating. Any answers for getting wheel moving/ working

Most self propelled units have 2 belts. One for the auger, and one to power the wheels. Check the belts, and then check the drive assembly under the motor to see if it is engaging.

I JUST PURCHASED A SINGLE STAGE SNOW THROWER FROM LOWES. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SINGLE STAGE VS A DUAL OR MULTI STAGE SNOW THROWER THANKS DON DMH8@AOL.COM

a single is just that a single auger that scoops snow and shoots it out chute their a smaller unit --a dual front auger scoops snow into another auger which shoots the snow through the chute the duals are bigger and they move more and heavier snow

Need to decrease Wheel Speed. Blower works well except for this. Keeps plugging up, because it moves to fast.

part of the drive plate. Lift the machine up on it's auger and take the bottom cover off. with the speed lever at its slowest see if the little friction wheel moving linkage can be adjusted so the friction wheel gets as close to the middle of the drive plate as possible. Sometimes it's just an adjustment on the shifter arm.

Snow thrower auger won't turn

One of the grip levers should engage a clutch that controls the augers. The other grip lever should engage a clutch to drive the wheels. Figure out which is which, and track the linkage from that lever down to the gearbox between the augers and the impeller. See if there's an adjustment you can make there.

If not... the gearbox may be damaged, possibly by hitting a solid object with hardened bolts in the place of your shear pins. ALWAYS use soft shear pins!

Where is the auger sheer bolt

Figure 9 on Page 11 of the manual (linked below) shows the location of the auger shear pins. Do NOT substitute bolts for shear pins!

Good luck!
