You can't replace the keyboard of the laptop by yourself. Take a help from expert engineers or Service center experts.

There is 1 screw at the back at the center which holds the keyboard in and look carefully at the top of the keyboard, roughly near the escape and F1 key, there is a small latch that need to be pressed.Note that there is another one near the delete and insert key. Both need to be unclipped before the keyboard top will lift.Be very careful as you could damage the connections from keyboard/mouse to motherboard if you are not familiar with this. Also you will need a small flat screw driver, more or less the same you would use to open a watch..Hope this helps
look carefully as they are hardly noticeable.
The way you are pulling it off from the picture you attached is wrong. The keyboard detaches first. Then once it is out, there are some screws underneath the keyboard which you will need to remove first before the bit you were pulling off will come out.Remember you need to disconnect the connections from motherboard to mouse and keyboard before you attempt the last thing you were doing on the picture. The keyboard needs to be unclipped out, that is top bit first, where the escape button, f1,f2 etc.. then once out the bottom one, near the space bar will pop out.

I can't seem to find the latches. do you push down? push in? i can get most of the top lifed up from the edges but can't seem to unlatch at the top.
we thought we found the clips but it's being held down in the center top right below the sony logo on the screen
I've unscrewed every screw on the bottom and that top piece still isn't 'coming off. the latches are unlatched but the top still isn't coming off. any clues?
is it supposed to come off like this? if so it's catching near the cd rom on the left side and around the f2. if it's not supposed to come off like this then i'm completely lost. i am looking inside and can't see the lcip from the inside at all.
the clips were below the control and the right arrow
