Starter solenoid, switch ,starter, fuse, or one of the safety switches--seat,blade engage satety, need to check the wiring or connections but start with the inline fuse than solenoid these two are the most common problem after a dead battery

Mowing yard and stopped to go inside. Come back out and mower turned over but would not crank. Kept trying and it started clicking. Rocked the mower and it started. now does same thing but won't start

Check your charge in the battery. Clicking usually is dead battery. If the battery is good, starter may be bad (or at least the starter solenoid).

Mower won't start

Try getting a wrench on the engine and see if it will manually turn. It may be locked up.

2004 JD X595. Has started and ran fine until last week. My brother was using the mower was turned off and would not restart. He jumped it and started fine. He then mowed for 10min and the deck shut down....

Sounds like a Charging system: alternator problem... have your Auto-zone check for your alternator if it is shorted...take the alternator off or haul the whole tractor to the store...they will run a free test...

Engine clicks but will not start. battery is fully charged.

Check for corroded terminals between the battery and starter, including at the start switch, Disconnect the battery and follow the wires, making sure that each terminal and connector is shiny and bright, Clean terminals with a fine sandpaper or emery board. Re-connect the battery and try. Please re-post if this problem persists.

Craftmans 3000dlt ride on mower can't start it up all it does is click click changed the selenoid and starter still click click Ammeter runs to negitive when i try to start it and it's a brand new battery...

The starter itself may be bad. Take the starter off, connect it to the battery on the mower with jumping cables + to + and - to battery and ground other to starter. It should spin as if it was going to start the mower. You may have to try different places on the starter for a good ground. If the starter spins, then it's not the starter, but binding. If it was electrical such as seat switch or blade switch it would still turn over but not start. With the starter clicking, it sounds to me that the solenoid is fine.

Muarry lawn mower wont start . Just hear a click..took the battery to get charged its good . whats the problem help

If you are hearing a click with a properly charged battery, first check the leads going to the battery to ensure they are properly tight. Most of the time the nut may feel tight but there is still play to turn the lead to tighten more.
If this is not the problem have the starter selenoid checked.
