Grayish prints Could you assist me in determining if the Developer needs to be replaced or if our machine just needs a throrough cleaning? I believe it needs a cleaning, could you tell me how to go about doing this? Currently, whether using the top feeder or placing original on the glass, copies come out "dirty" looking. Grayish. Thank you

Try cleaning the optics and scan lamp.Use normal glass cleaner
clean the underneath the copier glass.
If the problem is still there the developer probably need a change.
If you need any more assistance please get back to me.

Yes every 250,000 prints the following is replaced

Developer, Ensure counter is cleared and Developer Charge is run
Drum
*Corona Wires and Corona Grid
*Transfer / separation wires
*Cleaning systems for above wires (Unless Cleaning system motors are shut down
*Fuser Web roller
also all of the above counters are cleared as the machine use the counters to determine what is new and what is old. And determine what voltages to assign to certain assy. if you lie to it and clear the counter and not replace codes will show up and image issues can happen.

* KIT PARTS
Developer and Drum separate

Should also check the upper and lower fuser roller located I the hot section and the fingers that protect those large rollers from allowing paper the to wrap around them.

Again clear counters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and run require developer and drum procedures. Try this as start

Automatic Toner Density Sensor code, have you had the developer replaced recently? If so was the counter cleared before running the F8 procedure, If not buy new developer and clear the counter first the remove the old developer, DO NOT USE A VACUUM Cleaner the VACUUM Cleaner can create static electricity and destroy the Automatic Toner Density sensor located underneath image unit (See Ribbon Cable). The machine use several counters to determine certain voltage that are applied to certain assy. during the copy and or print process. It is also the only way the copier knows it got a new drum, cleaning blade, and developer, so try the web site below and see if they have the developer. If the cleaning blade is yellow replace it. When was the last the drum was replaced if over 250,000 replace also.

How to reset imaging unit for konica minolta bizhub211

IS the drum cleaning blade and developer been replaced. Counters are to be cleared before replacing the drum and developer, because the machine use the counter to determine voltages to certain assemblies. If you reset the counter and have not replaced the parts then the machine will think the parts are new when fact they are not and cause image problems and codes. Was the F8 run after new developer was replaced. DO not allow any printing or copying until that is done, or you will have to replace the developer again.

Sir/mam, you might have a bad drum density sensor or it was not cleaned or was destroyed by static electricity, if a vacuum cleaner was use to remove the old developer, NEVER use a vacuum cleaner for that procedure. Remove the drum and will see a small sensor near where the cleaning blade sits need to clean it replace it. Worse case the main control board is bad that what sensor talks to .Was the L Detect procedure run after the developer was replaced, and before you replaced the developer did you clear the developer counter, to let machine know it has new developer, because clearing the counter is the only way the copier has new developer, did you clear the counter for the new drum? The machine use the counters to determine voltages for certain assemblies. If L detect was not run and copies or prints where made get new developer and start over.

Error code C2801 for Bizhub 750

When was the last time the developer was replaced in the developer unit? If has been replaced then you might have a bad ATDC (Automatic Toner Density Control) sensor Located at the rear of the drum and below. (Remove drum to see, has a white cover on it attached to a control board, needs cleaning,2nd replace. If the developer was replaced when it was done was a vacuum cleaner used? IF so the static electricity from the vacuum clear destroyed the sensor, NEVER USE a VACUUM cleaner to remove the developer. Also when the developer was replaced, was counter cleared to tell the copier developer was replaced, the copier use the counters to determine certain voltages for certain assemblies, if not image problems and codes can appear. Finally was the F8 run after the developer was installed before any prints or copies made? If not buy new developer and start over, counter is to be cleared first, then developer replaced, then F8 run.

Bizhub 350 printing blank copy

Does you machine say replace PC drum on the control panel if so need to have the drum developer replaced at the same time. The code is dealing with the image unit the drum is one part the developer section is the bottom part or the sensor at the bottom of the image unit is bad. If developer was replaced did that person use a vacuum clean if so then the static electricity from the vacuum clean destroyed the sensor. NEVER USE A VACUUM to remove old toner. Worse case the main board that the sensor feeds is bad. Also when (if the drum and developer where replace did that person clear the counter for developer and drum. Machine works on info from counters to set certain voltages on certain assy. If the counters are not cleared then the copier thinks there is old developer and old drum in the machine and sets voltages for those units when in reality there are new drum and developer . Also after the developer was replaced was the required F8 run. And no prints/fax or copies where made before the f8 was run. When replacing the developer and drum the fax line and the Ethernet cable need to be removed first even used F8 and counters are done in service mode.

Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Start first bye buying a new drum, cleaning blade and developer. Hope fully you did not destroy the sensor on the bottom of the developer unit it has a ribbon cable. You need to clear the counter for developer drum first in service mode. Then replace the developer and drum and cleaning blade together as one!!!!!!
Then run the required F-8 procedure in service mode.

How to reset drum counter on bizhub 200

Utility counter, details stop00 stop01. Counters. Has the drum been replaced? if not you reset the counter the machine will assume that a new drum is install and select the proper voltages for a new drum since the drum is not new? it might code and get poor image quality issues. Replace the developer with the drum. Machine uses the counters to determine setting in the machine, developer also has a counter. Does the front panel say replace PC drum? If so replace developer and drum and cleaning blade at the same time. You clear counters before pulling out the image unit. and you don't exit all the way out of service mode after clearing the counters you hit exit once the turn off main power, Rear left side. Once new drum and developer installed. RUN F8. Do not allow copies Prints or fax until F8 is run. Or start all over again.

MAINTANANCE M2 MINOLTA BIZHUB 163

Need to have the drum and developer and cleaning blade replaced, then have that M2 counter reset. Resetting the counter with out replacing the drum developer and cleaning blade will cause codes and image problems. Machine uses the counters to determine voltages for certain assy. If you clear the counter and not replace the parts the machine adjust voltages for the drum and developer assuming it new when in reality it is old.

My Lexmark C543dn is printing yellow lines down every page

This issue may be caused by a defective toner or defective photodeveloper. You can try to swap the developer unit from the black one to determine if the developer is causing the problem. If so,you need to replace your developer.
I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.
