SOURCE: Viking Refrigerator problem

Try this my Mother had a similar problem, make sure the vents are not covered inside the fridgerator between the bottom and top so the cold air is able to circulate between them.

I just started having the same problem with my 48" frig/ freezer Viking Designer series 2 years old- this has been a hot summer, we were not home much and the AC in the house was set higher 78 degrees so the frig I guess had to work a bit more - when I open the door to the frig water droplets acually run down the interior of the door and the box insde is always damp - I also have stress cracks in the interior shell of the frig - repairman is trying to get Viking to fix it- it has been a year now and it still is not fixed- the stress cracks were caused by improper insulation application to the inside of the frig according to the repair people- Also my handles have pealed - like the stainless steel is not really stainless steel - Any ways could the temp in the house changed - does not mean the frig should not work well - For what it costs, I expected better

SOURCE: Can't hear the compressor, panel inside is not lit,

Most likely your main board went out. Try turning your braker on and off. Most likely you need a service man asap.

Interior light stays on...light is hot..food directly beneath light is not cooling

HI. There is a door switch that controls the interior lights. This switch is also connected to the fan motor circuits. The actual door switches will be the lone culprits in your case. They are not functioning at this moment. This switch fault will effect the cooling process and cause an abnormally high temperature inside the unit, due to no Evap fan action and interior light heat.

Simply replace the door switches to correct the issue.

Light is on but frig stopped cooling

I had a problem with my Viking where the light stayed on in side and was causing havoc with the coling system.
I saved 200.00 doing this.
get a cell phone or a small video camer place it inside the fridge and record to see if the light stays on when the door is closed.
If it does. You may just have a light switch to replace or like I did readjust the push spring that the door hinge hits to active the switch.
Once I did this the light went out and the fridge started cooling normally. the lights will heat up inside the fridge and screw up the thermostat. then the fridge will start to cycle. not good for the compressor.
hope this helped.
good luck

Kenmore model number

You are correct that the 363 means it was manufactured by GE.
You have to include the 363 in the model number when looking up parts. 3639619686
I just looked it up on sears.com and repairclinic.com.
You won't find it on GE, they don't list the models they built for other companies.
Post back if you have any questions.
