Thermador Built-in oven model cm301

F-24 is flashing on the control panel.  The instruction manual says to shut circuit off for 20 min, however that did not do anything.  Any suggestions? Jeff

I have same problem. It just started a week ago and it is driving me nuts. I flip the breaker switch off for several minutes, then turn it back on. The oven will work for a while (a couple hours or one day at a time) but last night in the middle of cooking potatoes, it started beeping and shut the oven off. I had to finish the potatoes in the microwave.

I need a new gas cooktop and was VERY seriously thinking of buying the Thermador this January but after reading all the internet posts on Thermador service, I absolutely will not. I will probably buy Viking now.

I will call a serviceman and let you know what I find out.

Same issue w/our Thermador CM301. F23 and F24 codes - BSH acts like they have never heard of the problem! Awful service. This should be reported to the Consumer Board.

My 15 y/o Thermadore C3O1US oven began beeping whenever it was cooling down after cooking a meal. Most of the time it would eventually display error code F24. I tried letting it cool down, setting the temp to 100 to keep the cooling blower running. It helped a little, but still a nuisance. The controller was no longer available anywhere, including Ebay. I tried repair shops but none of them could help. Out of desperation, I removed the electronics panel and thoroughly blew it out with compressed air. I tested it by running the oven cleaning cycle, and no beeping. It has been fine ever since.

I have a Thermador model smw272 and F 7 is flashing on the lower oven display, with a beeping sound every second.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F7 error code is displayed when the clock assembly/electronic range control (ERC) goes bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

F7 and beeping

oven starts to beep and shuts off. I shut the circuit breaker off and it re sets itself and hopefully when I power it up it will start to work. We have replaced the front panel and all th PC boards and reset the reset button behind the panel. If there was a was that I could disconnect the shut off that's built in I would keep the oven.
When this oven work, it's great however at this time i am losing patience and maybe I should toss it out and get a new oven which I really don't want to do!
I am very capable of taking it out and opening up the panel an re setting all the boards once again if that would help? Thermador has had a recall on this unit as some people claim it will overheat and go on fire? The stove has little mileage on it and we would like to keep it but if you have a way of fixing it or if not we would love to hear from you! .

Flashing on oven F54 shut off oven at circit

HI. This code is an indication of a shorted upper door latch circuit. This could have be caused by a malfunctioning relay board.

The necessary actions are to gain access to the upper door latch assembly, and test the circuit with a meter. Use the procedure below.

Before repairs or further testing can begin you must disconnect the electricity at the fuse panel, at the circuit breaker panel, or by pulling the plug. Make sure the power is off before proceeding. Set the latch to the "clean" position and test for circuit continuity at the terminals of the switch with your VOM's ohmmeter function. If there is no continuity, the switch is faulty. Use caution when testing.

NOTE_ If the upper door latch switch passes the test, simply replace the relay board.

The LED control panel on my Thermador double oven is out

I solved this. Its a vaccum flourescent display. The voltages that drive it are reducing because the capacitors on the control board deteriorate with temperature. Replace the 3 capacitors and its good as new.mine still working after 2 years...$.20 at radio shack...or have a repair place do it for you...saves $250 for a new board

Error F5 comes on when trying to bake

Ok, this is a control fault that may or may not be solved by initiating a hard reset. To initiate this reset, you will have to unplug the entire oven for 3 total Min's. it is vital that you allow three total Min's before you power up once more. if you cant reach the actual plug, you can shut of the appropriate circuit breaker as well for three total Min's. Once the hard reset has been initiated, power the oven up once more. If the same problem still exists, you will have to replace the Electronic Oven Control Board.

Please rate and god bless:)

Please see post by bonanzsapilot on 14 March 2009; he gives exact & easy to follow directions for making this repair for <$10. It's listed uner 'Thermador SC301IT oven - FixYa'. In a separate post I added the correct capacitor numbers from Newark.com. I made the fix in abt 30 min & it's good as new. Thermador no longer makes control panels for this oven & no wiring diagram is available to help. Shop price was estimated at $500.

Thermador Built-in Oven Model SMW272

usually this is because you have the connecter on the touch pad off by a pin or not seated well. sometimes all it takes is taking the front touch panel off, re seating the connectors, and putting it back together. these thermadores are very sensitive to it for some reason. if all else fails, take all of the small multi pin wire connectors off one by one and re seat them. it should take care of the problem if it wasnt there before you started. good luck!

Thermador SC302T clicking noise, locked door after power outage

iodine, open the upper oven, look thru the grill below the control panel on the right side and there is your model number. The issue here is that when the power came back on the oven run thru a test and your lower lock motor has failed. It will need to be replaced. Yes the only way to stop this is to shut off the breaker.
