I just bought my Keurig Special Edition B60 and I too have had the same problem. The unit shuts off after brewing one cup. I discovered that the problem seems to be with the water tank not seating properly after brewing the first cup. You do not have to completely remove the entire water reservoir as stated above to fix this. I simply wiggle the tank a bit making sure it's seated at the base, until I can hear and see the water level lowering (to heat up), and that fixes the problem every time. Hope that helps!

There is a design flaw with the new Keurig units. They don't always draw water after brewing a cup. Some people say the company is using a weaker pump so they are less noisey. Some success if you remove water tank and drop it securly back in place. This seems to unstick the vavle.

Keurig units can also have special models like yours. If you have questions with the model why don't you try bringing it to a specialist or to the store where you bought it. If nothing happens replace it with a new one. Hope this link shall help you with your concern.

The descale light keeps blinking, what should I do?

The 'Descale' light that turns on indicates that it is time to de-scale the machine.
Scale - or mineral deposits- form from the water you run through your Keurig coffee machine. If not cleaned regularly, the buildup can clog the lines in your machine and ruin the heating element. The manufacturer recommends you descale Keurig coffee makers once every six months for normal water conditions and once every three months if you live in an area with hard water.
You will need :
  • Keurig coffee maker
  • 48 oz. white distilled vinegar
  • Water
  • Large ceramic cup
  • Sink

Instructions :
  • 1 Unplug the coffee machine and remove the cup.
  • 2 Turn the coffee machine upside down over the sink in order to fully drain it of water. Be careful of the plug and avoid getting it wet.
  • 3 Pour undiluted white vinegar into the reservoir up to the top edge of the viewing window.
  • 4 Place a ceramic cup under the machine, plug it in and press "Brew" for a large cup. Pour the cups of vinegar into the sink and repeat the process until the reservoir is empty.
  • 5 Remove the final cup of vinegar and empty it. Fill the coffee maker with clean water and allow it to sit for four hours, remaining on.
  • Good luck ;)

Keurig B66 coffee maker randomly stays on and brews.

I have called Keurig and gotten replacements for units... however... all keurigs will heat water... then stop... after a while, the water will get cool, and the unit will cycle on.
when you say shuts itself off, the whole unit does Dark?
If the whole unit goes dark, then you may have a bad overtemp sensor... most if not all appliances will have this featurew to shutdown everything if the sensors detect a higher then normal temperature.

If that's happening... call Keurig and tell them this,,, they should honor the warranty and ask you to send them you K-cup holder as proof of ownership... then you will get a replacement.
you now have a unit for parts or to sell on ebay for parts...

I can allways use the parts... :)

My Keurig B66 is not pumping or sucking the water to brew. It will brew a cup here and there but not the way it should. There is plenty of water in the reservoir. You can hear it trying to pump the water...

I had the same problem. I called Keurig at 1-866-901-2739 and they are sending a replacement machine to me as they said this problem is not repairable.

After first cup is brewed, it shuts itself off and

No solution but we are on our 5th replacement from Keurig. Everyone has done exactly the same thing. It worked fine for a few weeks, than started turning off after brewing a cup. Like the problem states, the only way we can get it to work is to turn off and wait 15 minutes or so, then try again. Keurig has been great in replacing our coffee makers, but I really like it to just work.

My almost new Keurig (which I LOVE) keeps shutting down

I am having the same problem and will report back here if I find an answer. If I keep turning mine back on, wait for it to go off by itself. Turn it back on again...and again. Eventually I can get a cup of coffee. But my one-minute coffee cup usually takes 15 or 20 minutes.

Mine was a gift, so I'll probably just see if I can swap it out.

    Cuz that's some good coffee.
