Yes you can install a small inline electric heater into any jetted/whirlpool bath. As you know running bath jets lowers your water temperature, you can keep the water hot by continually adding more water or installing a heater. They are available in 1, 1.5 & 2kW
A 1kW heater helps to maintain water temperature in the tub by compensating for the heat lost by running the tub jets.
If you want to raise the water temperature i suggest using a 1.5 or 2.kW heater as they are great for larger whirlpool tubs or small spas.

Other notes on bath heaters:
Pay attention to which side of the pump you have most room as there are different heaters for the vacuum side (heater before pump) and pressure side (heater after pump) of the plumbing system.
You will need an electrical outlet with in 3ft"
The heaters here typically come with connections for 1", 1.5" & 2" plumbing.
Hope this helps.

Probably already solved this but yes, you can put a heater on any bathtub that has water jets.

New replacement in-line heater (C3B54P0-3002AU0) inop.

Bath tub heaters will only maintain the water temperature in the bath. They will only heat the water approximately 1-2 degrees an hour.
Whatever water temperature you start with is what you will be able to maintain.
There is a red indicator light on the front of each heater indicating whether or not there is power to the unit when the tub is full of water and the water pump is turned on.
If there is a red light on then it has power to it and is working.
This heater will never feel warm to the touch.
There are three different styles of Bath Heaters available.
  • Tee Heater - installs on the discharge fitting on the pump
  • In-line Pressure - installs anywhere in the plumbing line before any jet.
  • In-line Vacuum Heater - installs before the suction of the pump
If the heater you purchased is installed in the wrong place it will not operate.

Jacizzi tub and water is not hot enough

When filling the tub if there is not enough hot water to fill the tub you will probably need a bigger water heater.
You can add a Bath Heater to your tub if the water is cooling down too quickly while you are using it however, a Bath Heater will NOT heat the water. They will only maintain the water temperature you start with.

I have a customer who would like a Bosch AE-9.5 tankless water heater installed in the master bathroom. The master bath is located at the far end of the house & they are wasting a great deal of water...

In theory it sounds good, but I don't think it would function properly. Most folks install a low boy 20 or 25 gallon water heater near the master bath and use the home's cold water feed as the supply line. That way, the water for the master bath alone, will always remain hot.Of course this would involve some plumbing modifications.

Of course, the other less expensive solution, would be to insulate the hot water pipe(s) feeding the master bath, from the existing water heater. That way, there would be no heat loss in the pipe(s) so the water in the pipe would remain warm to hot all the time.

Either of the above solutions should heat things up for your customer.

Why does water suddenly go cold during shower? It only happens in master bath... guest bath shower does not cause same problem. I have to go outside and unplug and plug back in heater to get it to start...

Try running the hot water in the sink while you have the shower. If the water in the shower stays hot, then the problem is not enough flow through the water heater to keep the heater running. I am guessing that the master bath is further away from the water heater than the guest bath. If not I would check the shower nozzle in the master bath to see if it is clogged a bit or if it is a water saver nozzle because this will slow down the water volume and then cause the water heater to shut off the heat.

This is a bathtub heater. it is only 1500 watts. they are not meant to heat the water in a bathtub. They are considered a maintenance heater ONLY.
This style heater will maintain whatever temperature you put in the bathtub. It will only produce about 2 degrees of heater per hour.
solution: start with the water temperature where you want it to be when bathing and this heater will keep it that temperature while the pump is running and the tub is full of water.

The fault is most likely to be the condensor. They can and do fail at an early age.

You don't need to dismantle the pump, on the rear of the pump you'll find a slot on the motor shaft which can be turned with a screwdriver.

If you've only just reffiled the hot tub it could also be an airlock.

Sounds like a bad heating element. This is located in a stainless steel tube under or around the main control box behind the cover around the tub. It is not hard to replace but should be done by a pro. The part is avaliable online.

I have a flo-master 06620390-2 pump that failed in my hot tub. Is there a quieter and more efficient replacement or should I replace with same?

You are generally better off replacing the pump with the same model. Hot tubs are noisy unless you have a really good insulation job. It is unlikely changing the pump will make it any different as far as noise goes. The flip side is that the manufacturer sized the pump to match the hydraulic load present within your specific tub and to provide the necessary flow rate to keep the water clean. It can lead to problems if you put in the wrong replacement unit.
