I seen a blinking folder with a question mark in the middle in folder, in the middle of a display screen, but not a camera.

Either way, you are not able to access your main desktop so that is where I want to help.

A blinking folder with a ? in middle, is an indication that your bootable Mac OS X volume cannot be found.

If you do, I would first recommend you try this procedure first:
(PRAM Reset)
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} • First, hold in your power button for approximately 10 seconds to do a hard shutdown, if you have not already turned your Mac off.

• Once your Mac is shutdown, you will need to perform what is called a PRAM reset (Parameter RAM)
• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously .

• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
• Now, hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the start up sound for the third time.
• Release the keys and allow the Powerbook G4 to start up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If this still returns you to a blinking ? folder, try this process:
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} DISK UTILITYYou can use your Mac OS X install disc to repair your hard drive and Mac OS X volume using Disk Utility. Click the link below to try this procedure.
* Apple Support Link:
Use Disk Utility to Repair Disk

Should neither of these processes work and you still boot up to a flashing ? folder, then your only recourse is to use your Mac OS X installation disc and perform an Archive and Install procedure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} This procedure also allows you to save your applications, files and folders without the old directory interferring with you then accessing those files and creating a new Mac OS X Directory.

Here is the Apple Support Link for that procedure:
Archive and Install

This should get your Powerbook G4 back to normally functionality without any serious data loss.

Okay. Try this
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA25861?viewlocale=en_US
If it does not help then it is possible that the Back light on the screen is faulty. If you just purchased the computer, then you should go back to the vendor and ask him to change or fix it .

The folder with the blinking question mark means that your Mac cannot find a bootable system on the internal drive. This usually means either that the drive has been corrupted or is not accessible. The proper repair procedure is to boot from the system installation CD and use the Utility menu to run Disk Utility / Repair Disk on the internal drive. But at this point, I'd have to ask you to elaborate on your claim that you "messed up your Super Drive" before I can figure out how to proceed from where you are.

I turn on my mac and only this small folder icon appears in the middle of the screen

The face is probably frowning.  The computer cannot find the operating system.  Use a utility disk to boot up the computer and then use First Aid or Disk Utility to check the disk.  You may have to re-install the operating system.  This can be done without losing your files if done correctly.  Seek help from an Apple repair facility if you are in doubt about how to do it.

Pray - believe it or not... it worked for me when I got down on my knees and prayed. Hope this helps also from Fixya By  horthette Rank: Master Rating: 74%, 10 votes Apple is advising all owners of MacBooks or MacBook Pros bought after February 2006 to download a software update that will help fix some battery issues. The update, available through Software Update in the Apple menu or here on Apple's site, was released to correct some battery performance problems, such as shorter than usual battery life or problems charging the battery, according to a Web page on the support section of Apple's site. But if that fix doesn't work, notebook users should contact Apple to have their battery replaced if they notice the following symptoms, cut and pasted from Apple's support document: * Battery is not recognized causing an "X" to appear in the battery icon in the Finder menu bar. * Battery will not charge when computer is plugged into AC power. * Battery exhibits low charge capacity/runtime when using a fully charged battery with a battery cycle count (as shown in System Profiler) of less than 300. * Battery pack is visibly deformed. Apple says these problems aren't safety issues, just performance-related, a relief for those who remember the massive battery recall of last summer. Apple had to recall 1.8 million batteries manufactured by Sony as part of a larger recall that affected just about everyone in the PC industry.
