Ice maker motherboard

Ok,
the main mother board was replaced 3 weeks ago now if the Icemaker is pluged in on the left door at the top under the cover the fridge stops cooling? if i unplug the 6 prong connector it works fine but no icemaker or cool lights and beeps. I was told about a reset button that needs to be pressed and cant seam to locate it....some one at Home Depot said it was a button combination on the icemaker pannel.(he didnt know it) If this is so where do i find the combo to reset the Icemaker controll board to see if this works?

I have a kenmore elite side by side refrigerator. My ice maker fills with water but will not dispense the ice. I checked the led sensor and everything seems to work well. I held the door on the left...

If the optics seem ok. you might need a new ice maker. If the coating on the mold is peeling you need a new icemaker. But if it is ok. You can change the module. To change the module remove the cover on icemaker front. Of course you must remove the icemaker first. then when you remove the cover you will see 3 screws remove them. and the module comes off. reverse the order to finish the job. hope this helps

GE GSS25Xsrd ss-the ice maker is making ice but the water and ice dispenser is not operating. No lights. Nothing. Motherboard has been replaced about 6 months ago.

The problem is the main control board behind the 8 X 10 panel behind the refrig . When you say the " motherboard " , are you refering to the main control board , or the board on the freezer door ? If the board behind the refrig is the one you are refering to , then possibly you can replace it again under warranty .

Error code IF or 1F not making ice model #795,77562... Sears/LG

You posted under an incorrect model number, so can only give general info. IF is a code for ice room fan. It is a fan located in a plastic box in the upper left hand corner of the freezer. The IF code shows up if the control board does not get a feedback signal from the fan telling the control board that the fan is running. I'd check to see if there is some ice blocking the fan blade. If that is not the case, you will need a meter to do further diagnostics to find out if your problem is with the fan motor or the control board. (note: when you turn the icemaker off, the fan will no longer blow cold air into the ice room, and all the ice will melt. Also, when the icemaker bin is full, the same basic thing can happen. Steady use of ice or dumping the bin will prevent ice from melting in bin.) The fan runs on 12 to 16 volts DC (variable speed), and the feed back signal is about 4.5 volts DC.

Ice maker quit working

good sign its flashing , woth door open depress the left side flap oppiste the blinkin light. does the light then go solid red??? i fso its an indication that the electricl eye is operating ok .
theres a screw 1/4 in. along the right side underneath the icemaker itself, youll need to removeit and the cover its holding down. you can then slide the ice maker assy foward and out of machine,There will be another litle tab along loeft side uder ice maker youll need to depress to ppulll unit out. pry off the white cover from front of the ice maker assy itself and have a look at the main gear 2 in. round, is it broken off, or on its way top breaking( sometimes the tabs that hold it on to the ice maker module itself break preventing operation, if this is the case youll need to repalce the ice maker assy.

Icemaker won't fill

its a tricky one to diag, this IDI{in door ice maker}. id be interested to see something in the ice maker head assy itself, under the right side bottom of the ice maker asssy is a 1/4in screw, holding a cover for the wire harness,if you remove the screw and the plastice cover it will allow you to slide the ice maker assy foward, youll need to depress a small plastic tab on the left side wall preventing the ice maker from coming out any more than an inch or so. After that the ice maker will twist out and by inserting a screwdriver into ice maker cover you be able to "pop" off the front white cover to reveal the inner workings. a problem with some of their modules is that the center white gear actually cracks off the module head itself, if thats the case when you open the cover, youll need to replace the ice maker assy

Ice maker stopped after electric shutoff

You may have a problem with the computer control board in the ice maker.  Try this.  Turn off the icemaker for about 2 minutes.
Turn on the ice maker and press the clear button.  Press and hold this button for 12 seconds to get it to force extract.  This will confirm that the motors will work and push the ice cubes out.  Afterwards, let it run by itself.  If it still doesn't make ice, you will need to replace the icemaker.

Ice maker not making ice

this is from another post i did but will cover you too your ice it is on a separate valve as the water in the door so the water flow don't mean a lot in this case remove the front plastic cover on the icemaker and you will see a bunch of little holes make a jumper wire out #10 or 12 house wire strip about 1/4 inch off the ends an insert in the holes marked t&h this will start a test cycle make sure yuo hold the plastic insulation so you don't get bit if the ice maker starts cycleing remove the wire and watch for it to stop listen for the icemaker valve to open if the ice maker finishes and the valve didnt fill replace the water valves if the icemaker doesnt cycle and yuo may have to kinda twistm the jumper back and forth to get it to make contact depending on the gauge you used then replace the ice maker motor module if you hear the valve open and the ice maker doesnt fill check for a frozen ice fill tube that should do it
