When you state that you can not select a device, do you mean that there is no sound, or that the device selection is not happening? A few more descriptive details will help here.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a Kenwood KR-V9030 and the right channel is crackling and will not provide increased output when the volume is turned up. 1) Swaped speakers from left to right and the problem is in left speakers...

There is a chance that a common control may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead' spot and is causing your symptom. Turn the POWER OFF and operate every control throughout its range a number of times, especially rarely-used ones like Tape Monitors and the Mute control.

If it still doesn't work you might want to prove if its a low-level signal loss or a high level amp failure.

One way would be to run an RCA cable pair from the Tape Out to any other device (even a TV with speakers) you might have that accepts an audio input. If IT can't detect receive the DEAD Channel you're losing it in the preamplifying or source selection stages.

If it CAN be played externally, the receiver is losing it on its way to or at the amplification stage. Further isolation would require hands-on technical expertise.

No output on right channel ofkr7050

"KENWOOD" KR7050?

I presume you have proven the channel is dead by trying multiple sources, swapping a different speaker onto it and that the balance control is NOT all the way to the right; headphones don't work either and we're down to proving it's dead before you take it in to a tech, right?

Latitude & longitude

Here is the way to find the Lat/Lon Info on TomTom.
Tap on main screen. You will be taken to Main menu 1 of 2. Tap on the arrow. You will move to Main menu 2 of 2. Tap on Browse map. You will see the lat/Lon info on the bottom left hand corner (of a selected location) Tap on another location and you will see that the lat/Lon will change to that of the newly selected location. You can use the slider on the right hand side to zoom in or zoom out so that you can get the Lat/Lon info of far off locations. However, for this purpose, google maps would be a better option. But if you know the address, use the find button which will give you easier access to Lat/Lon info.

Hit Object - Steering gear shifted....decreasing right turn to 15 degrees...increased left turn to 90 degress. How best to reset?

look down at the base of the steering column and you should notice that the steering is like two gears faceing each other. when you hit an object hard enough it is possible for the gears to jump out of alignment, simply loosen and realign, gears should be facing each other equally, to give you the same turn radius, left and right

RE: Fisher Model CA-270 - 480 watts.

These units use amp-pacs for the output stage, if I remember correctly. All in all, the unit will require some diagnosis to determine the problem with the power supply and the final output stage. The total cost of repair easily could exceed $125. You can probably replace the unit with a better one for not much more.

If you would still like this unit repaired, please indicate where you are in the country and I'll try to find a shop for you.
