Question about HP PHOTOSMART PLUS B209A All-In-One Printer
After installing my new HP Photosmart Plus B209a printer, I keep getting an error msg. on PC startup that the destinations.msi file is missing. The problem also affected my list of programs that should appear when I click the "Start" button on the bottom left side. Some programs are still visible there but not near the amount that used to be there. I've looked around and found various points of view but they all point to the new install of my printer and Windows Installer. I'm not sure what to do other than blowing the HP Printer away and reinstalling it. HP should be addressing this issue already since it's obviously at their end. p.s. I'm made at HP for yet another problem they don't seem to give a rats behind about. :) Thanks
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: MSI Error - HP Image Zone
Hi ChaBair, Image zone is HPs attempt to get its customers to store, share and backup images on their servers: http://www.hp.ca/portal/hho/ize/ I would try reinstalling the installation CD again making sure the printer is off until it prompts you. This time when you get to the part where you can select what components to install document the program names just in case you do have to manually uninstall later. Anyway reinstall and when prompted connect your printer. Also before you actually try to use the printer make sure you go to the HP site and download/apply any patches there may be. This should fix your error problem and give you a good idea which of the ancillary programs to uninstall if you later desire to do that. This didn?t 100% answer your question but I believe it will in the end achieve what you?re looking for. If it doesn?t work let us know and we?ll go from there. Also please don?t forget to rate this posting when we?re done.
