What does the control lock light mean? - Dishwashers

push the lock/unlock button for several seconds to unlock the control panel. on some it says lock on some it shows a key

The middle light means that the dishwasher is set for a 6 hr delay befor it starts. The light to the left is hi temp wash and the one on the right is control lock press and hold for 3 secondes to lock the controles. You can get the manual on the link below. Page 4

To unlock the controls: Press and hold the End Of Cycle Signal button until the Control Lock light goes Off.

To lock the controls: Press and hold the End Of Cycle Signal button until the Control Lock light comes On.

It means the traction control system has been disabled. It can be done manually by pressing the switch on the dash or by an onboard computer (meaning there is a problem). If you can't press the button to get the light off, then get it scanned. Traction control system works with the anti-lock braking system and the engine to help the driver control the vehicle in the event it should be slipping or skidding. It will activate the anti-lock brakes, help reduce steering pressure to better steer and can sometimes cut out engine cylinders to reduce the power going to the wheels to better control in the skid.

When the control lock light remains on and no buttons on the keypad work then it means that the controls are locked. Press the AUTO DRY button and hold it for 15 seconds to unlock/reset the controls. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Press and hold the end of cycle button for 15 seconds this should clear it. Control locked

Control Lock
The Control Lock shuts down the control panel pads to prevent
unintended use of the oven(s). The Control Lock will remain set
after a power failure, if set before the power failure. The only time
it is not available is during the Sabbath Mode or Self-Clean cycle.
When the control is locked, only the TIMER SET · START, TIMER
CANCEL, OVEN LIGHT and CANCEL OFF, UPPER OVEN
CANCEL / OFF or LOWER OVEN CANCEL / OFF pads will
function. On double oven models, CLOCK SET · START will also
function.
The Control Lock is preset unlocked, but can be locked.
To Lock/Unlock Control: Press and hold CONTROL LOCK for
about 3 seconds, until “CONTROL LOCK” and a picture of a lock
appear on the display. Repeat to unlock and remove “CONTROL
LOCK” from the display.

This means that the machine will not respond to any controls and will have to finish its current programme completely before it will respond to any operator controls again. It is very useful to stop anyone changing the programme mid cycle. It also means that if the power is cut or you have a brown out that the machine will just carryon where it left off and finish the programme.

To unlock the Control Locked feature:

Press and hold the End Of Cycle Signal button for 3 seconds to turn this feature off.

When the machine is running and Control Locked light is on, the machine can be stopped by pressing the Pause/Cancel button, but cannot be restarted until the control is unlocked.
