Humidifier not getting enough water

I suggest you buying the FOG RING: http://www.neotizen.com/main/main.php
This is really helpful for HUMIDIFYING any area, it is very cheap and it produces a lot of cold vapor.

Why am I getting water blowing into the furnace and flooding the floor? This is happening after 12 years of service.

Hello, this can be either a clogged drain line or the tubing supplying the water into the humidifier is cracked. The size of the house has nothing tomdo with the water leaking into the Furnace.

Should water be draining out of the bottom of the unit?

Yes there should be a hose or pipe connected to the bottum of the humidifier so it can drain properly.

Hi, We have a new house fitted with a Honeywell HE225 humidifier. It does not seem to work. Doesn't matter what we set it to, there is still way too much condensation on all the windows. We ended up...

Cut the power to the whole house humidifier and turn off the water pipe to it. If you want it running in the winter, put the water back on, but put a timer or a humidistat on the power cable to only allow it to run a certain amount of time per day, or to only run it the humidistat shows an RH lower than 45 percent (or whatever your comfort level is).

Honeywell HE260 leaks somewhere

Neither, even if the solenoid or humidistat stick, it should always drain properly. Is the unit mounted on the cold air return duct or the supply plenum? If it's mounted on the supply plenum, the water panel might be getting blown forward and spilling the water. High efficient furnaces also can leak water on the floor if its drain is restricted. If hum. is mounted on return duct make sure drain is clear by blowing through it. On Honeywell hum's I've seen the rubber hose from the solenoid valve to the distributor tray leak too, check the rubber 1/4" hose.

My unit is leaking from around the housing. what can be causing this?

make sure the pad inside is installed correctly there should be a small nipple at the bottom that goes into the drain be sre this is in. make sure the drain is not plugged. humidifier should also be level and if it wasn't installed correctly and is not level it may leak from the excess weater not flowing to drain correctly.

Honeywell True Steam heats but continuosly drains / vibrates

I had the same problem.
I replaced the solenoid which resulted with the same problem.
I then blocked the drain using a ball valve, that resulted in the humidifier overflowing.
I do have a fault code (3 blinks) indicating failure to fill tank.
However, if this were true, blocking the drain would have solved this problem.
I have replaced the unit with a new one, and it is now working perfectly.
If you have covered all these bases then I suggest replacing your unit. Hopefully it's under warranty.
Cheers, Rich

Honeywell furnace humidifier thermostat & other

sounds like to me you have a condensation pump attached to your hvac system. this can be used to pump water produced during the cooling of your house when in the a/c mode. if you have a typical bypass humidifier, you will have excess water running past the water panel and it must be sent to a drain of some kind. I would imagine the pump is being used to get your bypass water to the drain. another scenario may be that you have a 90% condensing furnace. if your exhaust pipe for the furnace is made out of pcv pipe, it is a condensing gas furnace. it will produce water when it is running. the water if from the combustion gases being condensed in the secondary heat exchanger. this is normal. some condensing gas furnaces will draw combustion air from inside the house and some will have a second pvc pipe that is used to pulll combustion air from the outside of the house. either way, it is not dehumidifying your house. the humidifier should be able to keep up if it is runnng properly. you should have water running out the bottom drain of the humidifier any time the fan on your furnace is running and the humidistat is calling for humidity. if this is not happening, it is not wired properly.
