Question about Dell OptiPlex GX260 PC Desktop
I bought a dell optiplex gx260 in Madrid, an additional sound card with cmi 8338 was installed in the PC by an specialist, the PC behavior was excellent, after a virus infection the PC report a driver´s problem, loss driver, I try to install the cd sound card but report loss driver. My PC have windows xp.
Sounds like the virus is still in the computer. you have to get something like Mc Afee virus protection, or Symantecs Spysweeper to get rid of it, and then you should be able to reinstazll the driver. If this does not work, try doing a system restore to the date before this started happening. to do this, go start programs, accessories, tools/system tools, the rest is self explanatory.
