Jabra c500 headset

Hi - Just bought this yesterday for my Blackberry. Apparently, nobody can hear me when I speak through the headset. Could it be defective, or do I need to activate something on the headset?

I just bought a Sanyo Katana LX and am having the same problem with it. According to the Sprint website, the headset is compatible with my phone, so I don't know. I guess I'll take it back to the store and see if they can tell me what's wrong with it.

Blackberry sound not working

Same problem here with a BlackBerry 8830. Elsewhere found a solution for another model that worked for mine:

1) Plug in headset.
2) Turn off BB.
3) Remove phone battery.
4) Reinstall battery and let phone restart.
5) Remove headset.

Check to see if you have not muted the headset or the phone.

Blackberry 8700c cant use handheld setting

It is possible that the mic itself or the preamp circuit for it is defective. It is providing that you do not have the Blackberry in the MUTE mode.

As for servicing your Blackberry, only the manufacture can do it.

Motorol HS820 Speaker issue

User "Nitol" seems to be having the same problem with this headset. I'd recommend calling motorola support, see what they think of it. If you're lucky, they'll recognise the apparently common probem and help you out.

H700 problem with Blackberry 7130

It just so happens that I almost bought this headset, but decided not to after reading some reviews. Apparently when paired with the blackberry, the headset doesn't like to function too well. It has a severe problem with distance. Even clothing in the way of the phone and headset can cause static. I've heard some reviewers say they cannot even have the phone and headset on opposite sides of their body because it perfers to have 'line of sight' with the phone. Do some tests by connecting the headset with the phone while they are very close together, almost touching. Once it's initialized, try to keep your phone in a pocket/on your belt on the same side of your body as the phone. I have not heard why these two products work so terribly together, but the problem does not seem to point to the headset or the blackberry, but the combination of the two.

Cant talk

Try going to Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices Click on Voice Tab and make sure the proper device is selected. Click on Volume and make sure levels are appropriate. Lastly, click on Test Hardware and wait until you can speak into the mic to see the voice levels. If you can see the voice levels, then your mic probably works and it is just an issue of configing the COD settings. goodl luck
