Question about Bosch Washing Machines

Is the Bosch Classixx 1000 washing machine hot or cold water fill

The washing machine worked fine when it was on the hot water pipe, but it consumed my hot water. I had it changed to the cold water pipe and I don't get any water inside. Researching online, I saw that Bosch Classixx has a cold water fill. I just want to make sure, maybe the guy who did it forgot to turn on the water. If so, how do I turn it on? (I live in UK)

You should be able to select hot/warm or cold for any wash cycle using the selector switch on the control panel. If it's been changed to just a cold water supply, look on the back where the hoses are connected to the water supply. There should be two.Usually left hot and right cold. You can turn either one on and off from there. Cold water wont clean as good as hot or warm.

Hot water barely comes out,

If you switched the feed hoses over and the problem reversed itself, cold has gone from fast to slow useing the hot water pipe and hot from slow to fast useing the cold water pipe then this would indicate a fault in the water supply from the hot pipe. What sort of pressure is coming from the hot pipe when not connected to the machine but filling in to a bucket? Are there any shut off valves before the pipe that supplies the hot water? Are they fully turned on? Any kinks in the feed pipe for the hot water? Has the hot water feed pipe collapsed internally? Change the pipe to check this and not just at the machine side.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

You just need to collect the cold pipe- the washer does the heating itself for hot washes. It uses the water cold for rinses ;-0)
And for a manual-

you will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount. During the process you will be asked for the actual model number!

Good luck,

I have been delivered a Aquiras Extra WMA 40 but I only have a cold pipe but I notice the machine has a hot and cold pipes do I connect to just the cold pipe and will the machine heat the water inside

No, the machine does not have a heater unless it has a sanitizing cycle which heats already hot water even hotter.

For the machine to work as advertised, you'll need hot and cold water connections. However, if you just hookup the cold water and run the machine on its cold-water setting it will wash -- the laundry may not be as clean as you would like in some cases, but the machine will operate properly.

My bosch washing machine is a cold filled and the cold pipe is frozen as we got it in the garage can we us the hot fill with water min setting

You could, but bear in mind that it will be rinsing in hot water, so it could affect your washing.
I would suggest wrapping hot cloths round cold inlet hose and hope that will unfreeze it.
Also possible water could be frozen in the valve as well, which could burst when water unfreezes.

Bosch classixx washing machine is not heating the water

Have you interchanged the hot and the cold water valve? Check your installation. If the installation is correct, the hot water valve might be the problem. You probably need to replace it with a new one.
