Length of time phone rings with incoming calls

Hi
The blackberry 8800 only rings 3 times when there is an incoming call then goes straight to voicemail. I have searched user manuals and cannot find a way to increase the length of time that the phone will ring for.

Thanks for that - at least I can stop messing with it now to try and alter the length of the ring!

Unfortunately, you cant change the setting. Your phone company has it set to go to voice mail after that many rings... they make more money that way.... the sooner they connect the call.... the sooner they can charge...

Well if you are tied to a particular network all you have to do is call up the customer help line of the service provider and ask them for the unlocking code, which will be provided to you for a nominal amount of money.
You can also get the unlock code through online..........i will suggest the website. which is doing good service .....you can approach this website.

I have a picture of a battery with a line through it on my Blackberry 8800, what does that mean?

It means that the phone doesn't sense that there's a battery. Your battery might have a short in it. Hopefully it's just the battery and not a connector or wiring. I fix smartphones like this, usually a new battery does the trick.

You need to take the phone to a mobile service tech and have them diagnosed the board and service it to correct these issues.

Also the phone signal is not active that is why it goes to VM
