Lexmark 5470 all in one center will not open after installing

The first problem is the I've had numerous problems just installing the printer on my computer; seems as if the installation disk seems to "quit" after a certain point, I need to remove and start all over again. This has happened with other printers I've tried to install also.

When I finally did get a "installation complete" message, and I try to open the all in one center, it just keeps trying to open but never actually does. The bars just keep scrolling across the opening screen.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Lexmark 5470 printer will not install, tried most everything Checked the Lexmark website and did all that they said, still no printer. Tried to get the drivers from the website and that did not work.

    I have Vista, when I install the printer after a couple of attempts but it does not install the All in one Centre, so I cannot scan etc but i can install printer just have to runhe the setup a couple of times....

    Same here, I can only print. the all in one center did not install and even the scan button the printer does not work. the copy button does though. it will scan and print but the regular scan will not work so i cannot scan anything and store on my computer. this sucks. mine is the Lexmark X5250

I just had a 10 minute online chat with Lexmark and my problem was fixed (it also had something to do with switching to OSX) - I suggest you contact them to do the same :  www.lexmark.com

Lexmark 5470 printer not working on Windows Vista


If you just connected the printer to your Vista PC, the drivers probably didn't load.
If you haven't yet, you need to install the Lexmark drivers first before you can use your printer. Unplug the printer before installing, then plug it in when prompted by the software.

Drivers for Lexmark x5470 disapear after the laptop is turned on.


Hey,

Fully uninstall the lexmark from your computer, everything, delete the printer from printers and faxes and make sure there is no trace of the printer on the computer.

Then get the files you downloaded and install the printer again.

Everything should work normally.

No color 5470


HELLO FIXYA..

THE FIX WAS TO UN-IN-STALL THE (5470) SOFTWARE AND RE-IN- STALL. I COULD MAKE COPIES FROM THE COPIER BUT NOT FROM COMPUTER(BLACK OR COLOR).THE COLOR PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE THE INK CARTRIDGES

I DO NOT KNOW IF THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE SOFTWARE (CD) THAT WAS SENT WITH PRINTER OR IF I CAUSED THE TROUBLE MYSELF.

I WILL OBTAIN NEW INK CARTRIDGES TOMORROW AND CHECK THAT PORTION OF TROUBLE
IF IT DOES NOT CLEAR THE COLOR PROBLEM UP,I WILL UPDATE YOU..

Lost my cd to install lexmark 5470 need to download to install my printer


Hi you can download the lexmark software from

www.lexmark.com When you open the page, look at the right side where it says drivers and downloads. Click on it and then select driver finder from the list.

On the driver finder page enter your 5470 model into the search field, is it X5470? well try x5470 or 5470 if it says just 5470.

Anyway all the lexmark drivers are there you just need to find your printer from there, then select your windows version and download. Finaly install the software and happy printing.

Which operating system do you have? Since when this problem started? Have you taken any updates for Printer as well as PC.

Try its uninstllation of complete components of printers and then reinstallation from using this link:

Ubuntu drivers for lexmark 5470


You can try running a Win2k or XP as virtual machine and install the specific driver for that OS...
